Good evening everyone...and how was your Sunday? I had a great day with God...and a great day of rest! In fact, I slept for 3 hours this afternoon! Tonight, I really see how God truly does hold me up during the week...and then gives me the rest I need on the weekend. What a loving and sustaining God!
As we prepare our bodies for another week ahead...let us also prepare our hearts and minds too. So many times we can find ourselves caught up in the storms that come our way, rather than focusing on God. It seems as if we dissect every part of a problem and focus deeply on what it just might do to us; that before we know it...we allow this problem to become more powerful, than the powerful God we serve. What a great verse God has given us this evening, from Psalm 62:11! One thing we need to keep in mind, while facing the difficulties of life; is that God will ALWAYS remain greater and more powerful than ever. Just think on what life would be like...if only we were to focus on every detail of this powerful God, rather than every detail of a problem. One thing I'm sure of; is that we would find ourselves deeply drawn into the light of God's presence, rather than the darkness of these circumstances we face. One thing I've come to see throughout my own life; is that it doesn't matter how many times we go through a situation and come out of it...these moments still aren't easy to pass through. The path can seem so narrow at times; that before we know it...we find ourselves giving into what we see before us. What happened to our faith...and what has happened to us, when it comes to believing in the power of God? One thing I know for sure...if the struggles of life are becoming that difficult to handle; then maybe that's a sign that we haven't allowed ourselves to be drawn closer to God...through prayer and His word. You know...it's so easy to read words...and it's so easy to even memorize those words; but are we using those words like tools in our lives...that the power of this mighty God may work through each word we read. Many times in the past, I have used this illustration. Just say that you want to have a garden. You know that the first thing that needs to be done; is to work up the soil. The shovel and hoe are leaning by the tree; but yet you choose to do it all with your hands. Wouldn't that cause you to go through needless suffering, when a way has already been provided for you? In a similar way; this is what we are doing, when we become godly people...by reading God's word, while denying the power thereof. As we prepare for another week ahead, we need to do a complete turnaround and focus on the power of this awesome God, rather than the so-called power of a circumstance. This circumstance may be attempting to make itself look powerful before us; but when we stand next to this powerful God; that is when we will come to see that it is actually nothing. Tonight, as we prepare to rest for another new week ahead, I pray that we will start out the week, by letting go of the weaknesses in our lives...to focus on this great and awesome God that's standing before us! Have a great night of rest...take care and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow! Goodnight...and God bless! It's Always & Only Because of Him... Diane Comments are closed.
