Saturday...Dec. 21, 2019 | A great day...resting in God's loving care...

Good evening everyone! I sure hope that you’ve been enjoying your Saturday! I thought I’d stop by for a few minutes and pay you a visit. It’s been a great day of rest…and I even was able to enjoy some things that I normally don’t have time for…like watching some cooking videos on YouTube. Let’s see…I watched someone make some really good cinnamon bread, along with some other goodies and gingerbread houses. Then Keith brought a Christmas DVD into the office and I stretched out on the daybed and watched a really nice movie with my husband.
One thing I was thinking on today; is how I used to take these simple pleasures for granted. Now I serve God full-time…plus I’m dealing with my health; so I don’t always get the chance to enjoy these moments…but you know what; I think that a person enjoys moments like these even more, when they don’t always get the chance to do them. In other words…I find that it allows me to appreciate life much more than I used to.
Now that a great afternoon is behind me…I’m looking forward to more rest this evening. I’ve never had so much time on my hands…so I’m not really sure what’s next; but I do praise God, for His loving care for me; for throughout this past week, I have seen how my God has led me to these moments of rest…and there are not enough words of praise, for all He’s done for me.
In Matthew 6:26 we read… “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?” You know…I haven’t read this verse in quite some time; but as God was leading me to this verse tonight…He was definitely reminding me that if the birds of the air can depend on their maker to care for them; then really…why wouldn’t He care for us…the ones whom He loves even more.
One thing I love about God; is that He knows every one of my needs, even before I speak a word. As I look into this past week…I don’t remember asking God to make a way for me to have today off to rest…and I definitely didn’t know how I could make the week work, in the way He worked it out…but you see…He saw my need, even before I spoke a word and He worked out the whole week; so I could have two days off to rest my legs. Now that’s a God, with a whole lot of love…care and concern!
You know…just as God has displayed so much love for me this weekend…He is the same God who loves and cares for you too. I truly believe that once we are willing to let go of all the negativity that stems from our problems…that is when we do see a powerful God at work, as He truly cares for His own.
As we close our time together, may I encourage you to let go of everything except for God. Trust Him…rather than what is happening in your life right now…and one thing I know without a doubt…God WILL make a way for you; so you can continue to walk out of these moments of despair…that you may be facing at this time.
Well…time for me to rest and enjoy an evening off.  I truly hope and pray that your night will also be blessed by God…and that His perfect peace will surround you…all throughout the night! Take care and I’ll see ya soon!
