Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Sunday to you all! This morning, I’ve been sitting here in my office…talking with God…so I thought I’d stop by for a few minutes and share some thoughts with you.
Lately, it seems as if I’ve been overwhelmed by life…and I’m not ashamed to say so; because you see, we aren’t perfect. We strive for perfection; but that day of perfection will never fully arrive, until we reach heaven. Anyways…this morning, I was listening to a song…and I was reminded that there will be times, when we will lose our foothold and fall…but the great news behind it all; is that Jesus will still be there. As many of you may already know…I took some time off on Friday to rest, as my body has been exhausted lately, from the pain and chronic fatigue syndrome that I have been facing. After feeling led to take this time off…it seemed that from there on, I began to fight the opposition (Satan) even more, as we had a terrible storm that night. In fact…we had an out of season snow storm and since the leaves were still on the trees; the wet snow began to take hold of the leaves and freeze…and limbs began to fall everywhere. It seemed that I would just get to sleep and then a large cracking sound would reach my ears…only to see another large limb fall to the ground. Even though it was a rough night…with little sleep; Jesus was reminding me in the morning…that even though Satan was out to fight me and keep me from the rest I needed; that He had still been there for me…protecting Keith and I…and bringing us safely through the storm. Sometimes…I think that as Christians, we feel as if everything in life should be perfect; but overtime, I have truly come to see the complete opposite. In I Peter 5:8, we read… “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” We must realize each day that Satan isn’t going to waste his time on those souls that he has already claimed as his own; but rather, he is going to focus on the true follower of Christ, as a means of removing them from the presence of God…which in the end, becomes a battle that can make life much more difficult to bear. Even though we may experience moments that attempt to create a fall…and even though there may actually be times when we do fall…the one thing I have come to see; is that Jesus will be there to lift us back to our feet. So many times, I think that just as others walk away…we feel that Jesus will do the same; but that just isn’t true…for you see, He is also in this battle…and He’s also fighting, to keep our souls away from total defeat; so when the battle gets fierce…and you wonder why these difficult times are taking place in your life…remember Jesus’ words in Matthew 28:20b, which says... “…and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Have a great day in the Lord…and may you always feel the loving presence of God walking close beside you! God bless! It’s Always & Only Because of Him… Diane Comments are closed.
