Hello everyone! Well today’s a new beginning…yesterday is gone and now we are about to experience moments of new possibilities. Maybe yesterday wasn’t its best; but today, we are being given an opportunity to experience something brand new…and I praise God for this hope!!
You know…as I look back on my life, I remember the circumstances that made me feel so alone. At the time, there could have been 50 people in the room; but I would have still felt alone and why…because I came to see that loneliness in this form only comes from being closely connected to a problem, rather than a God, who can truly fill the empty chambers of the heart.
One of the Bible verses that has stuck with me over the years and has been a great reminder to me that I am never alone is in John 14:18 and we read… “I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you.”
The other day, as I was listening to some videos on YouTube, I came across a lady that was sharing her feelings about the Coronavirus. She had become so overwrought by all that had been going on and by what she had been watching on the news; that I could see how she was feeling abandoned in this life. Before leaving the video…I left a message with her and invited her to come and visit the ministries website.
You know…times like these can easily make a person feel isolated, in a world that only includes them and the Coronavirus. I guess for one reason, we are just not used to experiencing something like this; that is so ongoing. One thing we must remember though; is that God has not abandoned us…and He will never leave us as orphans in this storm; but rather, He will come to us and be the comforter we need, until this storm has passed.
One thing I have come to see over time; is that this world can truly be a lonely world…a world where suffering exists…and a world where love never becomes a true and lasting love. Oh how our hearts ache for relief, from all that we experience in this life; but for some reason, the physical and emotional pain we experience continues to be very real.
We need to remember today; that even though this world and all the problems that are contained within this world can make us feel so alone…we really aren’t alone; for it is only the evil within this world that longs to convince us that we will never be the same again…and even more; that God has abandoned us and left us in the muck and mire of our own despair.
If we are ever going to find a hope that can be the path that can lead us away from loneliness and despair; then we must follow through with Philippians 4:8, which reads… “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.”
When we can truly turn our thinking away from the thoughts and feelings that can make us feel so alone and abandoned in life…to focus on the good things that can truly draw us into the presence of One, who can be everything we need right now; then this is when God will truly come to us and fill every empty chamber of the heart with Himself…and from there, we will come to see that even though we live in a lonely world…we really aren’t alone…Amen!!
No matter how you feel from day to day, may I encourage you to not thrive on the thoughts of everything that is going on around you; for they will only lead you into a lonely prison cell of despair; but instead…take hold of a hand that will never let go and will ALWAYS be with you, until the very end.
