Thursday...March 19, 2020 | God is in the Midst of these Troubled Times

3/19/2020

Hello everyone…it’s so good to be with you again today…and I pray that as you begin another brand new day; that your day will be even better and brighter than your yesterday.
You know…lately, I have been writing on thoughts related to my own affliction, as a means of encouraging you; but today, I feel that we are all facing one of the greatest afflictions, which is this Coronavirus; so as I’ve been spending some quiet time with God this evening…I am feeling as if He is wanting me to remind us all…and encourage us all; that no matter what we may face in this life…He is with us and He promises to never leave us alone, in the midst of it all.
You know…situations such as these, have a tendency of making us feel so alone and empty at times, especially when it’s something new that we have never experienced before. Moments such as these can make us feel as if everything has changed around us, in a way that can make it seem as if life will never come back to normal again…and these moments can also seem so overwhelming; that before we know it, we have been caught within a web of despair; that seems to make us feel even more distant from God.
As I’ve been sitting here this evening…talking with God; He led me to a Bible verse in Matthew 28:20…and we read… “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” This Bible verse was centered on a time, when Jesus’ disciples followed and worshipped Him…but also doubted Him at times; but then Jesus reassured them; that as they continued to do the work that He had set before them to do; that His presence would always be with them, to the very end.
You know…we can also experience times in our lives, when we find it easy to follow Christ and worship Him; but what happens when our faith is truly put to the test, as it is right now? In other words…have we fallen in our faith…to a place where we doubt Christ, due to something that seems so much bigger than anything else right now? I don’t know about you; but I am so thankful that Christ’s presence is there for me, during these very trying times. Jesus never said that this life would always be an easy life and even in Psalm 34:19 it says… “The good man does not escape all troubles—he has them too. But the Lord helps him in each and every one.”
You know…I think that this virus has gotten some of us sidetracked in our thinking…to the place where the disease has gotten us to believe that we could never escape something that we are now raging war with. One thing I’ve come to see in my life…after many…many years of pain and deep heartache; is that no matter what Satan sets before us…nothing or no one can be greater than our God. In fact…as I am sitting here…my mind is going back to moments, when I thought that what I was experiencing in my life at the time, was going to be my lot in life; when actually everything turned out just fine…and in a way that I could have never expected at the time.
No matter what affliction we face in this life…it will never size up to a God who is rich in power and strength…and once we are willing to let go of the thoughts that attempt to consume our minds; that is when the loneliness and fear will leave too…as we truly begin to experience a God, who will ALWAYS be with us, until the end of time.
May God truly be with you, as you walk through this brand new day…and even more; may you truly feel and experience a God who is so much greater than anything we may face in this life. Have a great day…and I will hope to be with you again real soon!
Many…many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
