Hello everyone…and a very happy Tuesday to you all! I truly pray that your day is going well…and that you will always know how much God is there for you and especially, as to how much He truly loves you…Amen!!
Well…today I didn’t know if I would be with you, as I have been facing some very hard and difficult times with chronic pain. Last night, I was feeling as if I was about to hit ground zero; but God had me up on these two legs this morning…and before I rest again, I thought I’d spend some time with you…and also let Satan know that he cannot control my life…praise God!! You know…I have come to see that when I write and share God’s powerful words with you…or even accomplish something that I never thought I could accomplish…the pain I experience seems to worsen; but even though it’s not always easy to see it this way, I have come to truly see that this isn’t the time to quit…because when we quit; then Satan wins the battle. One of the many favorite characters in the Bible that has truly inspired me is David…and in I Samuel 17…verses 45-47 we read… “Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. 46) This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. 47) And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord's, and he will give you into our hands.” You know…sometimes I think that we become so caught up in what is taking place in our lives; that before we know it, we begin to see these moments as something that could just be more powerful than God. I know that when I’m experiencing pain, it can be so easy to give into the pain; but one thing I have learned over the years…is that giving into something such as this, only adds fuel to the fire that Satan has already lit, which only worsens the circumstance with time. Just like David…we need to quit sizing up our situation and let God enter these moments and become the mighty warrior that can deaden the works of evil…just like David did; for it wasn’t that small slingshot that brought the giant to the ground; but rather, it was the power of God that entered the slingshot…that brought Goliath to the ground for good. Now just think about something for a moment. What do you think would have happened, if David would have allowed the size and strength of Goliath to influence him? Personally, I feel that evil would have won in the end. We must remember today; that we cannot give ourselves over to evil by giving up…and we also must remember that as Christians, we have entered a battle…a battle of the soul. When we give into what is attempting to bring us down; then in so many ways, we are handing our soul over to Satan, while allowing him to have full control of the situation. Maybe we don’t always have the right tools to spiritually fight Satan…and maybe we may be too weak to fight these battles on our own; but I know a God who does not need sword or spear to fight the evil that surrounds us; for His power can deaden and bring evil to its knees with one spoken word. We might as well face it…life isn’t going to always be easy…and Satan is going to be out there…attempting to steal our soul from God; but one thing I have come to see…life can be easier, when we allow God to be our mighty warrior. No matter what you may be facing; I know how these battles can seem…and I know how they can attempt to bring you to your knees; but once you let go and let God fight for you; you will definitely find the strength thru Him…a strength and power that will keep you pressing on…so don’t give up. Have a great day…and always remember that God is on your side…for you are never…never alone! Many blessings on your day! It’s Always & Only Because of Him… Diane Comments are closed.
