Good evening everyone! I just thought I’d stop by for a short bit and give you an update on my day. As for the grocery shopping…all went well…thanks to God!
This morning, as I awoke…what a surprise though…it was snowing again. As I checked out the weather, to see what was going on…before heading out the door; I found out that we were only supposed to get 1” of snow…so I thought to myself…that’s ok…thank you Lord! After several hours…that 1inch began to head towards 4inches, of that beautiful white stuff; so I questioned Keith, as to whether we should go out today…but we both ended up agreeing that it may be worse by tomorrow; so we called the taxi and prepared to go shopping. Since the roads were starting to get a little slippery; the really nice taxi driver we have said that he may be delayed…but that was no problem…as we could just sit in the living room and relax until he arrived. Within about 45 minutes, he called back to let us know that he was still further out and the cars were backed up, due to the snow; but that he had arranged to send a buddy of his…and said that he was on his way. What a kick it was…lol. This taxi driver was the funniest one we’ve ever talked to…and he had us in stiches, by time we had arrived at the grocery store. I guess he enjoyed our company too; because he knocked a couple dollars off the ride, which was really nice of him. Once we arrived in the store…we came to instantly see that we practically had the store to ourselves…probably due to the snow, which was another blessing…as we were able to get right through the isles easily and get done with our shopping. After finishing, we called our taxi driver and he and his wife came to pick us up together…and we had the best visit…all the way home. Everything seemed to be going fine, until I took my shoe off…and the pain began to come alive…and boy did it come alive. In fact…I have spent several hours on this daybed this afternoon…and now I have the foot wrapped, with my favorite perfume…deep heat…lol. You know…Satan always seems to stick his foot in, where he isn’t welcome. I guess he didn’t like it; that I had such a good day…even in the snow and cold weather…but that’s too bad. Tonight, I came very close to staying offline, due to the pain; but then I thought of a Bible verse that says…“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”…so I am on here tonight, to thank God for a good time of shopping…and for keeping my husband and I safe…and blessing us in every way! You know…it may not always be easy to find a reason to praise God, even during a very hard and difficult time of pain or deep heartache; but when we do…we allow ourselves to be drawn up and closer to God, while remaining distant, from the evil that longs to keep us down and out of commission, with the One we need the most. No matter what you’re facing…praise God through the circumstance…and allow those moments of praise, to help you rise above the despair in your life…AMEN!! Well…I’m looking forward to a relaxing evening, with my foot up. I hope you have a nice evening…and I will look forward to our visit tomorrow! Goodnight & God bless! It’s Always & Only Because of Him… Diane Comments are closed.
