Words And Thoughts That Can Separate Our Minds From Deception

2/2/2021

Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Tuesday to you all! I truly hope and pray that your day is off to a good start…and that you will come to experience God’s power in your life, above any other thing in your day…Amen!!
Lately, it seems as if there has been so much deception in this world. In fact…I don’t know about you; but there can be times, when these forms of deception can become so overpowering; that we can easily find ourselves losing hope in anything going right.
One thing God has reminded me of lately…is that when we truly belong to Him; then we don’t belong to these forms of deception…because He isn’t a God of deception; but rather, He is a God of great power and strength…One that can override these forms of deception.
This morning, as I was searching for a special Bible verse that would help us through these difficult times; God led me to a verse in Numbers 23:19, which reads… “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”
There is one thing that I have come to see and experience over my lifetime…and that is how easy it can be, to unknowingly compare God to an ordinary human being…and why…because we live and experience life in an imperfect world. In other words…even though we know and experience Him through His word…we live in a place that is much different than heaven.
The thing we must remember, as we face these moments of struggle; is that God is not human; but rather, He is perfect…One that does not lie or change His mind; but rather, He is a God who acts on what He speaks to us through His word…and He is One who also follows through, with every promise He makes to us…and when we can think on this, rather than focusing on what is going on around us; then hope will always remain alive within us.
Yesterday, I was talking on how we tend to clutter the heart with all the negativity and deception of this life. I also mentioned that we must keep our hearts emptied of these things, so nothing can put out the flame of hope that can help us to keep pressing on; so today, let’s begin anew by focusing on who God is, rather than where deception may take us. In this way…the heart will always remain open for the good thoughts and feelings that can keep us separate and distant from despair.
You know, as I look back on my life, I can say that I definitely wasn’t where I should have been with God, as I am today. In fact…with every blow of deception that Satan brought my way; it was as if I was giving into a body and mind that had been through enough…to take hold of the hand of deception. One thing I learned with time; is that it only led me to other paths that made my life even more complicated and filled with deep despair. Through time…I did come to a place in my life, where I became so desperate for hope; that these thoughts and problems that I was facing, actually nudged me in God’s direction.
You see people…there is hope in God; but first, we must let go of the deceptive thoughts that are attempting to make us believe otherwise…and come back to a place, where we can see that even though this world is wasting away…our God still remains the same strong and powerful God.
As we close this time together, I pray that we will come to see and experience a true and living God…One who can give us a hope that can help us to rise above deception…that we may always have a reason to press on! God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
