Hello everyone…it's so good to be with you again today! This morning is a cold one and it appears that we will be getting a pretty good amount of snow today. As I'm looking out my window, I see how the squirrels and birds are looking for whatever they can get to eat before the storm arrives…and just to let you know, I am now enjoying some beautiful doves in our backyard. I'll tell you…moments such as these truly help me to relax and be at peace, while doing my work.
As I've been sitting here this morning, enjoying the view outside my window, I am just amazed as to how the birds and squirrels know all about the storm coming, even before it arrives? This to me is just an example, as to how God takes care of everything He creates.
A while back, I came to understand one thing…and that is how God doesn't create anything, unless He can love it first. Isn't that amazing? Just think…we can know that God truly loves us, because He created us. So many times, our circumstances have a way of relating negative thoughts to us. In fact, I have seen over my lifetime, as to how evil can use the weakened moments in our lives, as a means of convincing us that no one could ever love us, especially God.
This morning, I've been looking through some Bible verses and God led me to one in John 15:16, which says… "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you."
As I was thinking deeply on this verse; at first, I had a difficult time understanding how the meaning of this Bible verse could collate to what I've been talking about; but then God began to open my heart and show me that we weren't the ones who came into this world on our own…begging for the love of God to enter our hearts; but rather, it was God who chose us. Just think…God didn't have to create us or even choose to love us; but He did; and to top it off, He also created us to be a part of His master plan. Whenever I think on this, my heart fills with praise; because He could have chosen someone else to be the puzzle piece that would complete the picture of all He had planned from the very beginning; but He didn't. Instead, He chose you and me…and I don't know about you; but that appears to be a lot of love.
Right about now, I'm thinking that the reason why we struggle to accept God's love and believe that a big and powerful God could ever love us; is because I think that we tend to compare His love to the so-called love that we are shown here on earth, which is really an imperfect love.
Maybe today, you are feeling as if no one could ever love you. Maybe you are a person who is always struggling in life…pleasing those who don't even care; or maybe you feel that you have failed at everything in your life and no one could ever love you because of that. One thing I know…God's love isn't just words that say, "I love you;" but His love is demonstrated in a way that gives you that warmth, of loving arms wrapped around you. Even now, I'm thinking back to many times, when I couldn't believe that God could ever love me; but He did. You see, for the longest time, I felt that love only came through abuse and broken promises; but a time did come, when I truly experienced a love like no other…One whose love drew me up and out of all that brokenness and gave me a fresh start.
As we close our time together today, my prayer for you is that you will truly experience God's love in a way that you have never experienced before…and that you will come to see that you are a person who can be loved. I also pray that you will come to believe one thing, which is this…God created you because He knew He could love you…Amen!!
Have a very blessed day and I will look forward to another visit with you tomorrow!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
