Hello everyone…I sure hope that your day is going well! This morning, I'm enjoying a beautiful; but cold and crisp morning. In fact, earlier I went outside to put some bird seed and something special out for the squirrels and I found myself so caught up in the beauty of the yard light reflecting off of the frost on the ground; that I completely forgot, as to how cold it really was; that is until I got closer to the house. You know…isn't amazing, as to how we can become so caught up in the worst of life; that we completely bypass the beauty that can be seen through these times.
Anyways, as we begin our visit today, I would like to first let you know that no one can see into your heart and what you may be experiencing at this moment like Jesus. I have come to truly see that He isn't looking to see if you're well-dressed, rich or well-known, in order to love and care for you. In fact, I have come to see that His thoughts are more tied up into your heart and what is taking place in your life right now, and even what may be hurting you at this very moment.
Last night, I took some time alone with God after a very busy day; and as I was looking through His word, He took me back to a Bible verse that He personally used in my life at one time, to help me see how His love was different, than the so-called love that was shown to me as a young girl; and the part of this verse that I'd like to share with you is found in I Samuel 16:7b, and we read… "…for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart."
I don't know about you; but during the earlier part of my life, I found it very difficult to see God's love as a perfect love…one that could care for me in such a special way…and maybe that was because I just couldn't imagine a love that could walk beyond my failures and still see me as a good person…a person that could be worthy of such love.
One thing I have come to see throughout a very difficult life; is that when a person is shown love in a wrong way…moments such as these can almost seem impossible to undo; but through time, I have come to trust a love that has brought me through many difficult times…One whose love never cared about how I looked or what I had been through.
You know…people in this world and even our families and friends can seem uncaring at times, to the place where we can feel tossed to the side; but the thing I want you to remember today is that God will never treat you that way…believe me, I know…and how do I know…because I have come to see that God isn't looking at the outer appearance and judging us in the way that other people do; but rather, His concern is all about our hearts and what we are feeling at the moment.
Maybe today you feel tossed to the side…and maybe you're feeling as if no one could ever love you. I want you to know I understand; because I have faced times such as these in my own life; but through it all, I have come to experience a love that will never let go; and when you choose to take hold of that love…just as I have; that is when you will come to see how much you are truly loved.
Today, I pray that you will come to feel and experience the presence of God…in a way that will help you to clearly see how much you are truly loved…Amen!
Have a very blessed day…and I will look forward to our visit tomorrow!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
