Hello everyone…and how are you doing today? I don't know about you; but I'm still feeling a little drained from last week. You know…life can definitely take a toll on us, to a place where we begin to wonder, as to how we will ever be able to make it through another week.
The other day, I was mentioning to my husband; that all the work I do throughout the week seems to be tiring me out, even more than what it used to…at least that is what I was thinking at the time; but as I sat there thinking even more, I came to realize that it's not the schedule that's tiring me out; but rather, it's my health that has worsened with time. Throughout my life, I have come to claim a few Bible verses, as my life verses…verses that have truly brought me through some very hard and difficult times in my life…and one my very favorites that I would like to share with you today is found in 2 Corinthians 12:9, and we read… " And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." You know…I just wonder, if the week ahead is being a little distorted, due to what we may be feeling at the time. I think that if we could live for the moment and focus on what God could do for us, rather than focusing on what the problem may be doing to us; then just maybe we would be able to let go of the days ahead and just live for the moment we're in. Saturday morning, while getting around for my day, God began to lay something upon my heart, so today I thought I would share it with you, which reads… "God's strength is a strength that steps in and ignites the point of weakness, so we can do what seems impossible to us." Just think…while we are telling ourselves that we can't make it…which is actually a thought that is stemming from the weakness; God is saying that He can take hold of the weakness and ignite it and bring it alive with His strength. Now to me…that is hope! Maybe today, your circumstance is attempting to convince you that you just may not make it through this week or even another day. Maybe it's time that we stop listening to this deceptive thought and begin anew, by laying every weak moment before the feet of Jesus. One thing I'm learning more and more; is that when I give every thought and feeling to Him; that is when He helps me to see the circumstance in a different light…one that helps me to glory in my infirmities…just knowing that the Almighty and powerful hand of Christ is resting upon me. You know…I would say that the only reason, where we have a right to feel down and out about times such as these; is when there is no hope of ever coming out of them; but today, we have not only read on a strength that can ignite these moments of weakness and give us a new strength; but we have also been reminded that we can view these times in a different way…one that can cause us to rejoice during times such as these…and why; because there is hope…that a powerful and loving God will always be right beside us…walking us through the moments that can seem so impossible to get through. As we close our visit together today, I pray that God will ignite us all with a strength that can lift us high above these moments of weakness; that we may be able to view life with hope…a hope that says that everything will be just fine…Amen! Have a very blessed day…and I will look forward to another visit with you tomorrow…God bless!
