No Need to Fear

Hello everyone…I sure hope that you are having a great Thursday! You know…I've been thinking lately, as to how we can easily find ourselves experiencing a moment or two, when we feel as if this evil world may just overtake us. Even though we can't always escape the things that are taking place in this world, we must remember that when we truly belong to the Lord; that nothing can harm us or affect us, in the way that the world sees and experiences these times.
The other day, as God was speaking to my heart about the title of this writing, He also began to take me back to a time that I will never forget…a moment when I was cleaning up for the evening and a black widow spider had decided to come down on its web, through a fan in the ceiling and dance on my chest.  Instantly…out of fear, I took my hand and swung it across my chest to where the spider was and within a few seconds, he had gone back up on his web, where later, my husband found him and killed him.
As I look back on that time, I see how that poisonous spider could have bit me very easily…but yet, it never happened, which also makes me think back to a few Bible verses in Psalm 91:5-11, and we read… "Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6) Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7) A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8) Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9) Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10) There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11) For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."
These Bible verses remind me of a time when the children of Israel put the blood of a lamb on their door posts, as God had instructed them to do. He told them that if they would do this; then the plagues that would be passing through would not come near them or harm them. In a similar way; that is what God is reminding us of today; for He is saying that when we make Him our place of refuge and habitation; then no evil will overtake us, even if a thousand may fall all around us. Now to me that is hope!
Maybe today, as you are witnessing the suffering and awful things that are taking place in this world, you are beginning to feel that these moments could greatly affect you too. Maybe these thoughts that keep entering your mind are beginning to create a heart of fear…one that keeps haunting you from one day to the next. Believe me when I say; that nothing will ever harm the one who takes refuge in God; for I have seen and experienced this many times in my own life…and I truly believe that God's love for us alone; is what keeps us sheltered and distant from the things in this world that can attempt to harm us. No matter what you may be feeling or experiencing right now, just know that there is nothing to fear; for the Lord has given His angels charge over you and He will keep you safe in all your ways.
Lord Jesus, as we witness these end times unfolding before our very eyes; moments such as these can sometimes affect our minds and hearts, in a way that causes us to fear and even imagine the very worst. Today Lord, I pray that we will find the strength through you, to let go of the evil that is attempting to have control over this world…and even our lives; that we may be able to live with a settled feeling…knowing that with you, everything will be just fine…Amen!
Have a very blessed day…take care and I will look forward to another visit with you tomorrow! God bless!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
