Hello everyone and how is your Friday? You know, as I've been sitting here today…thinking on all that we seem to be experiencing in this world right now, I was also reminded, as to how life can come to a place where we feel as if nothing will ever go right again, especially if we're already facing our own personal struggles.
The other day, as I was preparing for this writing; God was taking me back to a time, when I had once experienced…what seemed to be one of the worst days of my life. It seemed that my head was so low that day with depression; that I didn't think that I would ever escape those moments. While sitting silently in the presence of God, I remember one thing that will always stand out in my thoughts…and that is how God took words and implanted them deep within my heart, at a time when I found no words to speak at all. As I quietly spoke each word that had come to thought; they seemed to come together as a message from God's heart to mine. Within a moments time, I began to see that He was truly encouraging my hurting heart, at a time when I couldn't even speak one word to Him.
Through time, I came to see one thing and it's found in Romans 8:26, which reads… "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."
At a time, when I had grown weak in spirit and was about to give up; the Spirit of the Lord that was alive within me as a Christian, began to step forward…gathering every hurtful sigh, thought and feeling, that had come forth from my hurting heart…and had actually created a connection between God and myself. Now isn't that amazing!
Even to this day, I experience moments when I find myself sitting quietly in the presence of God. Maybe the day was just too much for me…or maybe I'm just too tired…or in too much pain to speak. It doesn't seem to matter what I'm facing at the time; because I have found that it's during these quiet moments…that I know without a doubt that the Spirit of the One who lives within me is reading the tablet of my heart…and working on my behalf, to create a communication between God and me.
You know…there can be moments, when we just feel too weak to pray, especially after experiencing moments, where nothing seems to go right. Times such as these can make us feel as if we have lost our communication with God, which can make us feel even more isolated from His presence. The thing that I would like to encourage you with today; is that no matter what you may face…or no matter how bad life may seem; there is One who is gathering every hurtful sign and groan together…and He's using them to create a communication between God's heart and yours.
We must remember that even though other's may not seem to understand what we're going through; there is One who does; for as each painful sigh, thought and feeling reaches His Spirit; He is already at work…to take us into the presence of a God, who can become the complete remedy for our hurting hearts and souls.
Lord Jesus, as we close this time together with you, my prayer is that You will reach down from the heavens and touch the one who is hurting today. Help them to see, oh Lord; that even though they have found themselves speechless before You; that You are still there with them right now…picking up on every sigh, thought and feeling that has come from their broken spirits. May they be encouraged today with the thought…that even though the hurt in their lives have made them speechless before You; that the Spirit that lives within them is more than able to step into these moments and create a communication between them and God…one that can never be expressed with human words. Thank you, Lord, that you have promised to never leave us or forsake us, during these hard and difficult times of life…and thank you even more…for being to us, what others can't. What hope we have found in you today…Amen!
Have a very blessed weekend…and ALWAYS know that the Lord is closest to the one with a broken heart! Take care and I will look forward to another great God inspired visit with you on Monday! God bless!
