Hello everyone…and how is your Monday?! It's so good to be back with you today! I praise God for this brand-new day…one where we can find a reason to begin again…where God can make all things new…Amen!!
Let me begin this brand-new day with you, by asking you a question… "What are you thinking on right now?" In other words, are you struggling to remain positive, due to all the negativity in this world? I have come to see over time that we can struggle to perceive life in a positive way, because our thoughts seem to be more attracted to the negative things of this life. I know for me; it's not always easy to focus on a new day, when every day seems to be filled with chronic pain and illness; but as I look back to the time, when Jesus died on the cross; that alone seems to help me; because even though Jesus went through much pain; His focus was more on what His death was about to accomplish, rather than where these painful moments were leading Him.
I have come to truly see that whatever we are focusing on at the time, will either take us to a place of refuge, where we can connect with God…or our focus on life will lead us deeper into the despair that surrounds us at the time. If our minds are going to survive these troublesome times; then we need to do as Paul stated in Philippians 4:8-9… " Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9) Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do and the God of peace shall be with you."
You know…every day, we need to follow the example of Jesus and think on where this life is leading us with Him, rather than where it could possibly take us. Remember…negativity will only keep us locked up in a place where Satan can continually work to keep us distant from the One, we truly need the most, while facing these troubling times. Yes…this world is definitely becoming even more evil by the day; but at the same time, there is hope for the one who truly knows Christ. As I was thinking on this even more, I also began to see that instead of allowing evil to lead us further into negativity…these times should actually be nudging us closer and closer in thought to Christ, which can help our hearts to remain positive, with a heart of praise.
You know…we all seem to struggle, when it comes to remaining positive in a negative world. These times we're facing can definitely make it easy to believe in the deception and untruth of an evil world that surrounds us each day; but we must remind ourselves that we don't have to be a part of it…and if we are ever going to survive these times and continue to live with the joy of the Lord; then first, we must take our focus away from a negativity that can easily lure us into the presence of evil, rather than the presence of God.
No matter what you may be facing today…and no matter how difficult it may be to get through it; I have come to see that we can get through it all; but first, we must look for the positive through the negative; for that is what will help our thoughts to remain focused on the things that are true, honest, pure and lovely.
As we close our time together today, I pray that God will help us to remain on a path that leads us to the things that can bring a good report into our thoughts and minds; that the God of peace will ALWAYS be with us…Amen!!
Have a great day…and I hope that you will return tomorrow, for another great visit with God and I! God bless you so much!
