Hello everyone…and how is your Tuesday? I truly hope and pray that your week is off to a good start! As I'm visiting with you right now, my prayer today is that this writing will not only touch the depth of your heart…but mine too! You know, we can all experience a day once and a while, when we feel as if the problems, we're living with only seems to get worse with time, rather than better. I know for me, it's been a struggle with the tiredness I live with, due to chronic pain and a lot of work; but today, I'm praying that God would speak to us all and help us to find some answers that can become the remedy to what we all may be facing right now…Amen!!
Over the weekend, while spending some quiet moments alone with God, I began to think on why I'm having such a struggle with this tiredness…and why it seems to be worsening with time. As I continued to seek God for help, He began to show me that it's because I'm allowing the symptoms of this problem, to dictate the way in which I react to the problem. I am finding more and more; that when we become too caught up in the problem; then this can be our way of giving Satan permission to lead us even deeper into the problem, which could just be the reason why we feel as if the problem is only getting worse with time.
Today, I would like to share a couple Bible verses with you that God has used to encourage my own heart with…and the first one is found in 2 Corinthians 10:5, which reads… "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"
After reading this verse in 2 Corinthians 10:5, my eyes seemed to be opening to the truth, as to how Satan not only afflicts us; but also wiggles that thorn of affliction, by placing thoughts within our minds that only attempt to bring us further down. What we need to do; is to capture every one of these thoughts and bring them into the light of God's presence, rather than allowing them to capture our hearts and have control over our lives.
Now that we know what Satan is up to…and how he's attempting to worsen these problems we've been afflicted with, let's see what we can do to prevent him from continually bombarding our minds, with the same old discouraging thoughts.
Last night, as I continued to seek the help I have so desperately needed lately, God began to lead me to another Bible verse in Isaiah 26:3, which reads… "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." In other words, the only way we are going to be able to experience peace during these troubling times; is when we let go of the thoughts that are meant to take us down…and instead, allow our thoughts to turn even more often to the Lord, which to me will keep us lifted above the problem, rather than face to face with it.
You know…just maybe, we are succumbing to what the problem is attempting to convey to us, rather than seeing the problem for what it really is…something planned and devised by Satan to bring us down and out of commission with God…and even life itself. If we could only be on alert to Satan's ways…and take hold of these deceptive thoughts and bring them into light of God's presence, rather than allowing them to work with our imaginations; then I believe that this alone would help us to press beyond what was meant to take us even further into despair.
As we close this time together today, I am praying right now that God would touch each one of us and be the strength we need; that we may not fall deeper into the darkness of despair; but that we may be able to rise above these moments of despair and find peace, even in the midst of the storm…Amen!!
Have a very blessed day…and I will look forward to another visit with you tomorrow! God bless!
