Hello everyone! It's so good to be back with you today and I'm praying from my heart right now, that you will truly have a very blessed day in the Lord and that you will come to experience His perfect and loving peace in your day…Amen!!
So, let me begin by asking you a question…"How are you coping with all that is going on around you?" It seems like lately; I have been feeling something very different in the air. Before going to bed at night, I usually sit up and spend some time with God before going to sleep; but I would say that within the past months, I have been feeling as if life is changing and becoming something that I have never felt or experienced before. I don't know why; but moments such as these can even make a person feel a little sad. I guess that as life changes from better to worse…moments such as these can hit us in a different way and change the way we once thought about life, which could be the reason for why we feel the way we do at this time. As I was looking through some Bible verses last night, I came across one in I John 2:17, which I would like to share with you today, and we read… "And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever." Have you ever thought that maybe we are experiencing something different right now, because this world is not only waxing worse; but it is also slowly fading away? It seems like we grow up to believe that this world will go on forever; but when we read Bible verses such as these, we truly do come to see why life is feeling different…and that is because we are approaching the very last hours of life here on earth. In other words, the world and all the things that people want in this world will soon pass away. I don't know about you; but moments such as these…moments that can seem so unfamiliar to us…definitely have a way of creeping into our hearts and minds, until we begin to feel hopelessly lost in the midst of it all. It seems that we tend to get caught up in what is taking place around us; that we completely bypass the hope that says that whosoever chooses to follow God, rather than this world, will live on forever in heaven. So, you see…even though life may seem different and feel as if it is plummeting down…and even though these moments try to make us believe that we will go down with them; that just isn't true; for the one who has accepted the salvation that has been so freely given to us through the cross, will be saved in the end. In other words, Christ death on the cross has become a lifeline that can keep us connected to Him, rather than this world, which actually saves us from the fate of this world…wow! Maybe today, you have found yourself caught up in all that is taking place in this world; that it has actually taken you by the hand and has led you to a place where you are feeling sad and alone…and maybe even hopeless. May I encourage you to let go of the moments that are only attempting to take you down with them, so you can take hold of the lifeline of salvation… that Christ is so freely offering you…a lifeline that can keep you above these moments, rather than face to face with them. You know…I will never forget a time in my life, as a very young girl; when I laid out on the lawn and looked up at the clouds. Even at this young of an age, I somehow felt that this world would never pass away; but at that time, I never even knew that God existed; but as time has passed and I have grown up, I truly have come to see how real He is…and not only that; but I have also come to see that He does have control over everything, including this world. Tomorrow, I hope that you will come back for another visit, as I will be picking up from where we left off today, with part two of this writing, titled… "This World is Scaring Me." I hope you will join me, as we spend time with God and allow His words of encouragement to bring hope and comfort to us, while living through these troubled times. Oh Lord, as we close this time together, my prayer is that others who read these writings, will no long feel lost in the midst of this broken world; but rather, they will find you to be the lifeline they so desperately need at this time; that they too, will find a hope to hold to…one that can bring peace, while experiencing a life that can seem so different…Amen!! Have a very blessed day…and I'll look forward to our visit together tomorrow! God bless!
