Based on John 14:18

8/15/2019

*Let this God inspired writing...from his heart to yours, be a reminder that God will never abandon you or leave you as an orphan in the storm; but rather, He will hear your cries and come to you!
Today, God has laid it upon my heart, to share a story with you. There was this lady, who was facing many circumstances in her life...to the place, where she felt as if these moments had placed here out on a lonely sea, with storms all around her. The skies were dark and black and fear crept in, as the waters around her became very tumultuous. All she had to hold to, was a piece of wood and as she stood there alone; the storms began to convince her that she would never survive those trying times. The more that she starred into the troubled sea; it seemed the worse they began to roar and rise up around her. With fear in her voice, she began to cry out for help, as the tears that fell from her eyes, only added to the moments that stood before her.
Within a short time of her cries; she noticed someone headed in her direction. Even though she couldn't quite figure out who it was; she continued to cry out, with a desperate cry for help. As this figure of a person drew closer and closer to her...she saw that it was Jesus...and He was walking on the water, in her direction.  Before she knew it...He was standing before her, as He said... "I heard your cries for help...and it was your cry of faith that drew me close to you."
As Jesus approached the small piece of wood that this lady was standing on; He stepped up and held her close, as they both waited out the storm together. It wasn't much longer after that, when the winds became calm...and the sea appeared as a glass pathway before her, which allowed her and Jesus to walk to shore. As she turned towards the path He was guiding her on...the sun began to shine, as she safely continued her journey with Jesus.
To this day, the journey continues on, as this lady who continues to journey with Jesus is me. It was through my mind's eye; that Jesus helped me to see what was before me, which gave me hope, in the midst of the dark circumstances; that I was facing at the time. It was also through these trying times in my life, when I discovered a Bible verse, which is now very dear to my heart. In John 14:18, we read... "No, I will not abandon you or leave you as orphans in the storm—I will come to you."
No matter what you may be going through right now; just know that Jesus will never abandon you or leave you as an orphan...to die in the storm that may be surrounding you at this time; but rather, He will come to you and wait out the storm with you...this I know for sure...and when the storms of circumstance come to an end; that is where you will begin a brand new journey with Him; so never give up...because if you do; you will definitely miss out, on the best life you could ever have with Jesus...on a pathway of new beginnings...AMEN!!
