*Let this God inspired writing...from His heart to yours, be a reminder to never give up...
but to keep pressing on, until you reach your destination...HEAVEN!
As I think back to the earlier days of my life, I remember the long and drawn out moments of affliction. These moments of pain and deep heartache went from days, to months...and even into years. These difficult times made me feel, as though I had been locked up within a prison cell of despair...with no escape. Those that once meant the world to my heart, were now becoming more distant, as I began to live in a world of my own.
Through time...the hope I found in it all; was that there was something better awaiting me...which became the lifeline between me and God. That doesn't mean that I don't still face struggles and challenges in my life. As moments of pain can seem endless; Satan seems to stoke the fire within me...and the more I hold to this promise of a better life ahead...the fire seems to become more difficult to stand, as he increases the strength of my affliction...as a means of breaking the connection that has been formed over time with God, through other moments of suffering.
I am learning more and more; that as the strength of the affliction increases; so can the strength of Almighty God, which at times has become a reminder to me; that nothing or no one can ever supersede the strength and power of God. Even though I've learned much with time...moments of affliction have a way of overtaking the mind and heart...in a way that can cause us to be caught up within these difficult times; that we find ourselves bypassing what we've learned.
In order that we don't lose out on all God has taught us and brought us through...we must get away from these sidetracked moments that caught us and led us away from God and continue to press on...never throwing away the confident trust we once had in God. Instead of focusing on the affliction itself...we must focus on the great reward it will bring us later. In this way, we will always have a reason to keep moving forward in life...no matter what comes our way. A patient endurance is also what we need...a time, when we can slow down and regroup; so we can get our thoughts on the things that will help us to continue on, with God's will in mind.
This journey towards an eternity with God may not be an easy one; but in the end, we will see that it was truly worth it all...for in the end; it will be our faithfulness to God, while facing these difficult times; that will save us and allow this journey to come to an end, in a place called heaven; where the shackles of suffering will be exchanged for a robe and a crown.
How great is your love and devotion to Christ? Is it great enough, to help you walk beyond despair?
