"Who may climb the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? 4) Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies. 5) They will receive the Lord’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior." Psalm 24: 3-5
(Words that were given, from God's heart to mine, while reading the 24th Psalm.)
How many times have we asked God, as to where He has been in our lives, when we have been other places ourselves? We seem to turn to Him, in an hour of need...only to leave these most holy moments, to lean on worry, doubt and fear.
While we sit in a cluttered heart of our own choosing; we find that we are only plugged into ourselves and the things of this world, while we only seem to plug into God, during a desperate cry for help.
How is it that we expect help, from a God that we aren't fully connected to? Don't we realize that when the plug has been pulled...to leave God's presence and enter other moments of our own choosing; that we have lost the main connection; that allows us to receive the help we need from Him?
The only way we are going to remain plugged into God, with a clear connection that cannot be broken; is when we choose to remove the clutter that can create interference between ourselves and God. Once the heart is emptied of ourselves and this world; then there will be room for God to step in and be everything we need Him to be...and not just for that moment; but forever...as this connective relationship between our hearts and His, will become a deeply embedded connection; that can never be broken.
