Given to me early Friday morning, June 21st...from God's heart to mine.
This morning, as the early dawn woke me from a deep sleep; sounds of birds began to sing through a small opening in my window. As I lay there...listening to a beautiful choir of birds...rejoicing in this newly made day; my thoughts began to focus on what was truly taking place.
Here...these birds had not receive any food yet for their day; but still they were finding a reason to sing. Somehow they seemed to know that their creator would take care of them...and the hope that brought forth such beautiful music, actually was the faith they held within their little hearts...just knowing that the One who created them would produce the food they needed for that day.
How often do we find ourselves so caught up in what could go wrong; that we lose sight of the faith we once had...a faith that could automatically cause us to praise God...no matter what.
Don't we realize that the One who created us, will always care for us? How is it that we need to find it through our own means? Don't we know that the One who became our Father...many years ago, will always be there to care for His children?
Last night, God shared a couple of Bible verses with me...before going to bed, from Psalm 112:7-8, which reads..."He does not fear bad news, nor live in dread of what may happen. For he is settled in his mind that Jehovah will take care of him. 8) That is why he is not afraid but can calmly face his foes."
Here...the birds of the air have no money to buy food or even pay for a shelter; but yet they thrive every day, by souly relying on their maker. You know...maybe we have too many man made ways in this world; that we tend to lean on...to the place that we have put our faith in them, rather than an all powerful God. The only thing wrong with that; is when something gets broken with those plans and ideas; we find ourselves plummeting down to the ground, with no real faith to keep us standing.
One thing I'm being reminded of more and more; is that God would have never created us, unless He knew first; that He could love and care for us...so why can't we be like the birds and just praise our God, while we wait on Him, to care for us?
