From His heart to yours... (Given to me, on Wednesday PM...June 12, 2019)
As another day ends...it's just me and God. As I sit in the my office with the lights dimmed and the quiet moments that surround me; God is reminding me of the recent moments, when He sustained me and brought me out of a wilderness of turmoil.
For me, life has been overwhelmed with pain and a lot of work; that has truly become a heavy load on my shoulders...that is, until He heard my cry and saw my tears.
In an unexpected moment, my God stepped into the midst of this turmoil and said, "Peace be still"...and from there life began to take a 360 degree turn; as the weight of this turmoil; that once brought me low; was now gradually being released from my shoulders.
You know...God never said that we would be free from trouble; but He did promise to make the load lighter; that is, if we are willing to humbly admit that the load is too much to bear on our own. I truly believe that it was the cry for help...and the tears that brought Him running to my side...and once He arrived to where I was at the time; it was His strength that took hold of my weakness.
God wants us to know that He is willing to help us; but first we must be willing to humbly admit that we are too weak to handle the weaknesses that can appear to be much stronger than what they actually are.
You see...when we give God the impression that we can handle these difficult times on our own; then I believe that He steps back; so we can eventually come to see how much we truly need Him. When we finally discover that we cannot muddle through on our own...as we cry out in a panic; that is when God speaks out, as though to say... "I'm coming to help!"
Never try to size yourself up to a problem and think that you can handle it alone; but rather, trust God for His help...just as David did with Goliath...and you will soon come to see and experience the power of a strong God...One who can truly bring your Goliath to the ground! AMEN!!
