Based on Matthew 14:22-32

*Let this God inspired writing...from His heart to yours;
help you to keep your eyes on Jesus...despite the storms that may surround you.
How many of us have felt as though our circumstances have placed us out onto a troubled sea? As the ruff and rugged moments toss us to and fro; we begin to fear the storm that is raging around us. As these darkened moments stand before us, we can begin to see them as huge waves; that are about to overtake us...and even take us down for good.
As the circumstance begins to whip around us...darker clouds seem to move in and block out the sunshine that once brought a ray of hope to us. Once we begin to get caught up, in all that is taking place around us; we begin to cry out with a desperate cry for help. As teardrops fall down our cheeks like rain; we begin to fear that this powerful storm will soon overtake us. Just at the time, when we're about ready to give up, on what little hope remains...and fall beneath the waves of this circumstance...a powerful presence begins to surround us, with a peace that could calm any troubled moment. As we take hold of this powerful presence through faith...we remain standing; but as we once more become caught up in the storm, we begin to sink deeper into despair.
How is it that we allow the storm to become stronger than our faith? We already know that these storms are only meant to take us down; so why do we turn our attention their way? O thou of little faith; why do you doubt a power that is and will always remain much greater than the storm?
When we become too caught up in moments that long to lead us deeper into despair; then this lack of faith will open up a path that will lead us there, while keeping us imprisoned within a path that holds no hope.
Each day, may we keep our eyes on Jesus...the One, who with one spoken word, can cause these storms to cease...Amen!!
