Hello everyone…Happy Monday…and a big welcome back, to “A New Day of New Hope Blog!” I am so glad to have you back with me today…and my prayer; is that we will truly feel the presence of God so near, as we begin our journey with Him, through this brand new week!

You know…as I look back on last week…I remember many moments, when it seemed as if I was being bombarded by evil. It seemed as if Satan was trying to pull me down continually…through any means possible; but praise God, He was right behind me…lifting me back to my feet.

One thing I learned through that time; is that it’s so easy to get caught up into these difficult moments; that before we realize it…we are focusing on every little thing that attempted to bring us low, rather than the One, who kept us from falling into a pit of total destruction.

You know…it’s so good to recite Bible verses and focus on God’s word…but you can’t tell me that there is one Christian, who hasn’t had a difficult time, of walking through the obstacles that Satan places before us. I have come to see that the battle begins, with the one who is truly devoted to God. These battles aren’t easy; but by being closely connected with God, we can overcome them.

The other day, I wanted to decorate our fireplace mantel for Jesus’ birthday. Above the mantel, I already had a beautiful picture that I designed, in honor of our Lord Jesus Christ; so I wanted to add gold beads and bows, to the pine on the mantel below; that would depict royalty, for One that my husband and I love so much!

As I was working with the beads and bows…from one end of the fireplace to the other; my leg went into extreme pain and I could not walk. Every time, I put my foot down…the pain became very overwhelming; so I had my husband get my cane and then he helped me back to the couch, where I remained for a while.

Somehow, I just knew that Satan had a part in all of this…as he had been coming hard at me all week long; so I was determined to pick up, from where I left off; so I got up with my cane and finished the work through the pain…and actually, the mantel turned out much better than what I had first thought…and by the next day, the pain was totally gone! Amazing…huh?

As we begin this brand new week…there may be times when we face the opposition…and find it very overwhelming…to the place, where we wonder if we will be able to keep pressing on. One thing God reminded me of today; is to bring Satan’s works to light. In other words…let him know that you know what he’s up to. I truly believe that when we do this; then we have weakened the strength of the circumstance. In other words…stand in the light of God’s presence and bring the problem to light; where it can no longer be a form of deception in your life.

Let’s face it…we can’t escape the difficult times that Satan has awaiting us; but I have learned that with every blow from Satan…comes a strong and powerful God, who will always keep us lifted to our feet; so never give up!

Well…I can say one thing today…I am ready to begin a new week…and definitely leave the old one behind! Today, I pray that you will find God to be much greater, than anything you walk through in life! Just know one thing, as you begin your week…God’s got you and He will never leave you…fail you…or forsake you! Take good care and have a great day…and I will look forward to spending more time with you tomorrow!
Blessings so much on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
