New weeks begin, with new days to follow…just as a season changes from winter to spring. Thoughts such as these are a reminder to us that there is hope; where the circumstances that can seem so endless…can eventually find their end.
I don't know about you; but some days can feel so overwhelming…to the place where ones mind can drift into the troubled waters of what is taking place at the time. It's at moments such as these that I find peace, when I turn quietly to God and enter His presence. Sometimes words are spoken, while other times a speechless heart becomes a sacrifice…of one giving themself over to God.
You know…sometimes I wonder why we choose to suffer needlessly, when just one moment with God can bring a remedy…and even a complete cure to what is troubling us. A favorite Bible verse of mine that goes along with these thoughts today, is found in Isaiah 26:3, and we read… "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
I have truly come to see that when I am able to turn my thoughts away from a problem that may be standing before me at the time…to fix my attention on God alone; then moments such as these do relay a message to God…that I do choose to trust Him over the problem. We need to remember that focusing on what is wrong is a negative form of trust…one that can eventually cause us to follow after the problem rather than God.
The encouragement that I would like to leave with you today; is to first continue on, just as each new day continues from one to another. Second…I would encourage you to keep a steadfast mind on God, rather than what is attempting to bring you down. When we choose to rise above despair and seek Him; that is when peace will begin to calm the troubled waters within.
Life isn't always easy…and each new step can almost seem impossible at the time; but I have come to see that when we can walk in God's direction; that is when we reap all His benefits…benefits that can help and sustain us through these times. On the other hand…when we choose to fix our minds on the problem and become deeply involved with the problem; that is when we will also reap from that problem, which can allow the problem to increase in strength.
What direction are you heading in today? If you have found yourself on some unknown path with your problem, it's never to late to turn around and begin again. Just turn your thoughts back to God and keep your mind fixed on Him…and as He sees your heart of trust; that is when He will exchange the troubled moments…for moments of perfect peace.
Have a very blessed day…and remember to keep your thoughts aimed in God's direction, as you begin each new day!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
