An Attitude with Evil...

7/11/2018

How often do we bow down to evil, rather than getting an attitude with evil? We know we are going to face battles and moments of affliction but why do we choose to accept these moments, rather than standing up to them, with the power of the One that lives within us? In Psalm 119:114-115, we read…“You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word. (115) Away from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commands of my God!”

There will be times in our lives, when we will face various moments of affliction; especially since we are aiming to remain committed to God. We know that there will be moments, when Satan may come along and pierce us with a thorn of circumstance but from there, how are we reacting to these difficult moments? Are we fearing evil, or just saying…well, this is the way it is? Do we realize that when we react to a circumstance, with an attitude like this; that we are only giving Satan permission to carry on, with what he has already begun to do?

I have learned over time, to get an attitude with Satan and stand up to him, rather than wallowing down to the weakness that he is attempting to use against me. How can we be considered soldiers of Jesus Christ, if we are choosing to give into the battle and sit on the sidelines, with a weak circumstance that Satan has placed before us? No battle is ever easy…especially when it comes to the battle of the soul but when we choose to get an attitude with evil and put evil in its place; then the power of the One that lives within us will push evil to the side, so we can continue to press on, until the battle has been won.
