Can you imagine where we would be with God right now, if only we were willing to anticipate Him, as much as we anticipate what could go wrong in a day? In Psalm 62:5, we read… “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.”
I don’t know about you; but I get up each day…no matter how I feel and I begin to anticipate God’s next move for the day. I have come to see that when we choose to focus on our problems next move; then we may just come to see what Satan has planned, which is only going to add, to what we are already going through.
Some may think that these thoughts are crazy…and that nothing can go wrong; just by thinking about a problem; but I have truly come to see one thing in my life. Focusing on a problem and wondering what could happen next; is as though we are opening our hearts door and laying out a welcome mat, for Satan to come in and finish what he has already begun.
If we are ever going to press on and experience the fullness of God and the best He has to offer us; then first, we must aim ourselves in His direction…which can only be done, by anticipating, where each new step is about to lead us. When we can get up each day and not only talk about what God may have for us…but actually seek it out, with all our hearts; I truly believe that this is when God will open up His best to us.
