Why do we try to muddle through our trials alone, when there is a strong…mighty and powerful God, who will take hold of us and protect us, as we walk through these darkened moments?
In Isaiah 41:13, we read… “For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”
As I was reading this verse today…over and over again; I came to connect with a thought…a thought that says to me that we truly have nothing to fear in this life. It seems as though we look into the face of a problem…or something that may be happening around us…and from there, we allow these moments to dictate a feeling of fear and no hope. The question we need to really ask ourselves today is this… “Do we truly believe that God is a powerful God…One who can help us and keep us safe from the enemy…or are we only trying to convince ourselves of this?”
One thing I’ve come to see in my life; is how focusing on God can bring a light of hope into a darkened circumstance, while focusing on a problem can lead us further into darkness, while attempting to convey a message of no hope. I don’t know about you; but I want hope in my life; so I choose to focus on God and see Him, as someone who is much greater; then the so-called power that attempts to come from a weak circumstance.
No matter what we face in life, we have a choice…a choice to either take hold of our problems…or a God, who can truly walk us through these trying times in our lives. When we choose to take hold of God, during these difficult times; then we will find that we will be led down a path of peace, rather than a path of worry and fear!!
