Never Forsaken...

7/12/2018

Have you ever seen yourself, as a comparison to a character in the Bible? I have many times! Through my own moments of suffering, I have related very closely with Job and through the past moments of low self-esteem and lack of confidence, I have found myself to also be a lot like Moses…never feeling capable of doing the work that God called me to do 16 years ago.

Today, as I was thumbing through the Bible; God led me to a beautiful verse in Joshua 1:5, which reads… “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

When we look at the lack of confidence Moses had…and the way God not only used Moses; but was close by his side…giving him the help and guidance he needed; this should be a reminder to us; that there definitely is no one greater than God…a God that has promised to never fail or forsake us.

You know…I think the moments, when we feel forsaken by God the most; are actually the moments, when we have chosen to make ourselves distant from Him, by going in our own direction. I have come to see within my own life; that it’s definitely not God’s plan to create us, in such a loving and caring way…only to walk away and dessert us.

No matter what we walk through in life, I truly believe that we can count on God to see us through; but first, we must be willing to let God work out our problems, through His plans and desires for us. When we can learn to lean on God, for the uncertain moments in our lives, rather than trying to have God lean on us; that is when we will begin to see how He can be everything we need…just like Moses and others in the Bible came to see.
