"Let not your heart be troubled. You are trusting God, now trust in me. (2-3) There
are many homes up there where my Father lives, and I am going to
prepare them for your coming. When everything is ready, then I will come
and get you, so that you can always be with me where I am. If this
weren’t so, I would tell you plainly." John 14:1-3
"Be strong! Be courageous! Do not be afraid of them! For the Lord your God will be with you. He will neither fail you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 |
In John 14:1-3, we not only read words of encouragement but we also read words of hope. You know...our circumstances have a way of convincing us; that these problems we face, will never go away. I remember a time, when I was in the hospital and Keith had just left to go home and as I looked down, to the tile on the floor; all I could feel was despair. I kept thinking to myself...I am going to be here forever but as you can see...I never stayed there forever because when God's time came into play; He released me from that trying moment in my life.
Isn't it amazing, how the symptoms of our problems can control our thinking; to the place, where we grow deeply discouraged. Even though God may allow a situation to remain for a time; we can live with the hope that tomorrow will take us one step further away from the problem. When we come to see God, as something that is stronger and greater than our weaknesses; we can live with the hope that God will always be there for us and that He won't walk away but if we begin to compare God, to the way we are treated in this world, all we are going to experience, are these moments of discouragement; where Satan can continue to weaken our faith and pull us to a level, where we become distant from God. Today, we need to become strong and courageous and know in our hearts that God is still there and in His perfect timing, He will lift us...with His strong arms of love; to a place, where we become distant from the problem. |
