Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Tuesday to you all! I pray that you are having a good start to your day…and even more, I pray that you will ALWAYS know that God is on your side…no matter what you may face throughout this day…Amen!!
This morning, as I was looking through God's word…He led me to three Bible verses that have truly made an impact on my life…and I would like to share them with you throughout the writing. You know…we all face lonely moments in our lives, when we feel as if we have been abandoned. Others may walk away, until we have no one to love or care for us; but I want you to know today…from the depth of my heart; that I know One who has already displayed such love for you…and continues to do so to this day…One who walked beyond His own life, to give you life and freedom through the cross…and His name is Jesus Christ.
As we begin our time together, I want to ask you a question. Have you ever known anyone who was willing to give up everything for you…in a very real way? In other words…would they die for you and give up the life that they could have lived, just so you could have it better? In Romans 8:31-32, we see a true and lasting love like this…and we read… "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32) He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?"
Just think…God already knew about the imperfect person we would become; but yet, He did not hesitate to put everything on the line for us. In fact…His love for us was so great; that He was willing to give up the One who meant the most to Him…His Son, Jesus Christ…and since He was willing to do this; is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us?
I wonder how many of us have read the story in God's word about His Son's death, burial and resurrection and have seen this act of love as a story with an end? Don't we realize that this was an end, with a brand new beginning? In other words…this would only be the start of God's ongoing love for us. In Isaiah 41:13, we read… "For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee."
I truly believe that the death of Jesus was His way of stretching forth His arms of love to us…longing to take hold of our broken lives and love us through it all. How many times have we chosen instead, to take hold of the problem, when this hand of love longs to draw us close to Him and be our helper? This is one thing I haven't been able to figure out. In other words…why would we chose to take hold of something that has already brought deep pain and heartache to us? I would say that we would run…to take hold of the hand of Jesus…longing for Him to hold us close and help us, during the fearful and uncertain moments of life.
You know…one of the many things that I have truly come to see within my own life; is that we will never be free from these problems we face, until we truly come to believe in this perfect love that is reaching out to us. When we can take hold of this perfect love, rather than an imperfect problem; then we will experience Hebrews 13:6b, which says… "…The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."
I truly believe that we fear the problems that stand before us; because we're standing there alone, which is why we tend to feel lonely during the difficult times. We must remember that no matter who walks away from us…the Lord is there; and He truly longs to be the helper we need, while facing times that are just to difficult for us to get through on our own. When we choose to let the Lord stand beside us and help us through the hard and difficult times of life; that is when fear will leave…and from there, we will clearly come to see that nothing can defeat us…Amen!!
Have a very blessed day…and ALWAYS know that the Lord longs to walk through every tight and narrow path with you!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
