Hello everyone…happy Monday! Well…here we go again…another new day and another new week…and it looks like it's going to be a hot one, with a high of around 112 between today and tomorrow…wow! I'll tell you…yesterday, I felt like I was slowly melting…lol. You know what though…it doesn't matter what kind of a day we may face; because when God is in it…He definitely has a way of making it right…and He even seems to remind us of things that we sometimes take for granted.
As I've been sitting here this morning…I've been thinking on how we can find ourselves so easily caught up in what may be taking place at the time…and even, as to how bad it may seem; that we tend to forget that God is in it all. In other words…He is using moments such as these to make us even stronger and more like Him…and sometimes that means that we must face trying times such as these, in order that we may truly take hold of what He is trying to convey to us.
This morning, as I've been looking through God's word; He took me to several verses that I tend to use quite often in my writings and they are found in 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, which reads… "Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17) For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18) So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." In other words…what we see as moments that are slowly taking us down, are actually moments that God is using to renew us and build us up. Isn't it amazing how we can become so caught up in what is happening around us; that we can't even see how God is using these moments to achieve something greater within us?
We must remember one thing; that just as a rain storm passes through…so too, will these difficult storms within our lives pass through. I think that the thing that is keeping us from seeing a circumstance in this way; is that we are so focused on every detail of the problem; that we find ourselves convinced that the problem will win out.
Life isn't easy…and there may even be times when we question God, as to why He allows these hard and difficult times to enter our lives; but the thing that can help us; is to tell ourselves that God would have never allowed these difficult moments into our lives; if first, He didn't have a reason for them. Like I said before…I think the thing we need to do; is to stop focusing so intensely on the circumstance that has come our way…and look beyond it…to see why God allowed it in the first place…and once we can do that; this is when I believe that the circumstance will be seen as a momentary problem…one that can achieve something greater than what we experienced before the trial began.
Have a very blessed day…and ALWAYS know that God's got you and the problem that is attempting to take you down!
