Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Monday to you all! Well, another new week begins…and as we begin our time together today, I pray that we will be encouraged and brought to a place of peace and hope…through the words that God longs to share heart to heart with us today…Amen!!
There are two things that I have been thinking on lately that can cause us to be so overwhelmed with this world…and the first one of course; is that we tend to focus a lot on what is taking place around us, rather than focusing on God. Now…the second thing that can cause us to be overwhelmed with this world and raise havoc with us; is when we tend to allow our thoughts to get ahead of what is taking place at the present time. When we begin to think that this may go wrong or that may get worse; then this is when that overwhelming feeling begins to set in, while we find ourselves being beaten up with our own thoughts.
Recently, God led me to a Bible verse, which I would once more like to share with you today; because I feel that these words can become a reminder…to always take life one day at a time; so let's read Matthew 6:34… "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
One thing we must remember; is that we need to give our entire attention to what God may be up to at this present time…and never allow ourselves to get worked up over what may or may not happen tomorrow. I have truly come to see that it is God that will help us to deal with whatever else may arise…for we have enough on our plates at this time.
Last night…before going to bed; God was reminding me of one other thing…and that is this; we should never allow our thoughts to drift off into a negative outcome…of what may never happen; because once we begin to predict what could possibly take place next; that is when we will find ourselves overwhelmed with what we are thinking on, as these thoughts begin to control us and make life miserable. Also, when we focus on what may possibly be ahead of us; then thoughts such as these could also lead us off into days of possible uncertainty…and before we realize it…we aren't able to cope with the day we're living in, which will only allow Satan to keep us caught up in a web of deeper distress and despair.
In our Bible reading today, we are warned to keep our thoughts away from our tomorrows…and why…because we have enough to deal with in one day. Don't we realize that when we allow our thoughts to jump ahead; that we are only adding to what we're already experiencing? Also…when our thoughts have left today…to enter a day that hasn't even come into existence; then we are leaving the presence of God, which takes us out of sync with Him…only to take us to an unknown place, where we can easily find ourselves in sync with Satan.
If we want to experience peace, rather than the anxious and overwhelming feelings, of a world that is already overwhelmed by evil; then we must let go of everything except for God…and live for the day that He has given us; and in doing so…we will find that we aren't overwhelmed with life; because God is now the One that is working on our behalf, for each new tomorrow.
Have a very blessed day…and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
