Are You Waiting On God While He's Waiting On You?

8/24/2021

Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Tuesday to you all! As we begin this brand new day together, I pray that we will find the strength to let go of everything of ourselves…to focus on Christ completely…that we may find the very best that He longs to give us in this day…Amen!!
The other day, while spending some time with God, He began to speak to my heart…and this is the question He's asking us all today… "How many times do we feel as if we are constantly waiting on God, when He just might be the One who is waiting on us?" In other words…are we waiting for God to do it our way, rather than going to Him and letting Him do it His way?
You know…there are times when we must wait on God; but I would say that the reason for this is because we don't have a clue as to what we should do…so yes, we must wait on Him during times such as these; but on the other hand…are we waiting on Him to fix our problem, in the way that we expect Him to, rather than in the way He longs to do?
As I was looking through some Bible verses this morning, God led me to one in Isaiah 30:18, which reads… "And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him. "Let's ask ourselves a question today… "Could we be keeping God from working in our lives; because we are waiting on Him to fix the problem, in the way that we feel He should?" Can you imagine what is taking place between heaven and earth, when we try to wait on God in this way? I would say that while we are waiting on Him, with our expectations in mind; He is also waiting, with His plan in mind, which only stops something from being accomplished in our lives. We must remember that Jesus is the One in whom we gave our lives to…and it is Him, in whom we must trust to do the work that will make everything come back together in the right way. Remember…God's not finished working on our behalf…and He's the One who already has a plan in hand; but when He has to wait on us to let go of what we feel He should do; then this only prolongs the problem that we're already suffering through.
I wonder how many times we feel as if God has forgotten us, when all along…we are in the way of Him completing what He's waiting so graciously to do. If we could only let go of the way that we perceive Him accomplishing our need and just wait with open and empty arms; then don't you think that this would remove the roadblock, so He could step in and show His love to us?
We must remember that this God we serve is already at work…and He already knows everything that needs to be done…for He is greater than us and can see down a road that only appears darkened before us. I truly believe that when we let Him run the show and have the stage; that this is when we will not only learn to trust Him more; but I also believe that this is when we will truly begin to see this powerful God at work once more within our lives…Amen!
Have a very blessed day…and ALWAYS know that God's already there for you…ready to work on your behalf!
God bless!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
