Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Friday to you all! As we begin our time together, I would first like to thank God for bringing us through another week…for if He hadn't done this; then we wouldn't be sharing this time together today. You know…so many times we become caught up in the worst of a day or week; but my prayer today is that we will be able to go beyond these moments and come to truly see where these moments have brought us to; that we may continue to press on with hope…Amen!!
Last night, as I was spending some quiet moments with God, I began to focus on how far God has brought me…and even as to how He brought me to where I am today. I will never forget all the broken roads that I've traveled down in life. At the time, I didn't see those broken roads in the way I see them today; for at the time, those broken roads only made me feel, what I thought would be endless moments of pain and deep heartache. Little did I know at the time; that these roads would become the roads that would eventually lead me to God's very best.
You know…with all that is taking place around us at this time, we can easily feel as though these moments may push us over a cliff of total destruction; but I have come to see that moments such as these, can truly cause us to crave the presence of God even more…as we search for the help we so desperately need.
About thirty years ago, as I was walking through what seemed to be the pits of hell; God led me to a Bible verse in Acts 17:27, and we read… "His purpose in all of this is that they should seek after God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us."
At a time, when we feel and experience the lost dreams…and the people who tend to let us down in life; moments such as these are what actually becomes like a northern star that can point us in the direction of a dream come true…and a love that will never let go.
This world may not always be an easy world to live in…and the roads of life may even present us with much brokenness; but with God, we must remember that He is not far from any one of us. Even though these ruts in the road and the broken pieces of concrete, can represent what we see to be a hopeless situation; these roads that are being used by Satan to stop us in our tracks, will actually be the roads that take us to where God meant for us to be…so never give up on life…for once God repairs the broken road before us; we will then see where these roads were meant to take us.
Have a very blessed day…and a great weekend…and I will hope to be with you again on Monday!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
