Hello everyone…and a "Happy Monday" to you all! I hope that your week is off to a great start…and that you are experiencing the loving care of God your Father today!
Lately, I've been thinking on how times have changed…and people too. In fact…it just doesn't seem to feel like people care about others anymore.…and because of this…we can experience moments when we begin to wonder if God cares. As I was looking through some Bible verses this morning; God led me to one in Psalm 22:1, which reads… "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why do you refuse to help me or even to listen to my groans?" When we see the world falling apart around us, while we live with moments of deep heartache that doesn't seem to have an end…we not only feel as if people don't care; but there can be times when we can even feel as if God has abandoned us to…and that He doesn't see the hurt of our hearts. One thing I have truly learned throughout my life; is that we as humans have deep feelings…and we should never bury them to be tough and strong on our own…for they are real; but we must also remember that feelings can sometimes be a poor way of sizing up the situation; because sometimes those feelings can be controlled by Satan…in a way that can truly cause us to feel abandoned by God, which in turn can cause us to walk away and abandon Him. Instead of basing the situation completely on how we feel; we must remember the promises that God has given us in His word…promises that say that He will never leave us or forsake us…and once we believe these words of truth; these will be the words that will keep our hearts and minds free from the deceptive lies of evil. As I continued to seek God's words of truth this morning, as a means of encouraging myself; God led me to another verse in 2 Timothy 3:2, which says… "For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy," Now these are words that can help us to understand why people are becoming who they are…and these words can even be a reminder to us, as to how important it is to remain closely in touch with God and His word. No matter what we feel or experience in this life…there is a hope that can keep us steered in God's direction…and that hope can only come to us, when we seek God, rather than continually following after the feelings that only seem to make us distant from Him. Once we can truly allow God and His word to remind us of what's real; that is when deception will be brought to light…leaving us with a hope that will help us to continually press on.
