Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Wednesday to you all! I'm so glad that you came for a visit today…and I pray that as you walk through every part of your day; that you will truly experience and feel the love that God has for you!
Lately, it seems as if I have been thinking on what real love is truly all about. For the longest time in my life, I can say that I never really knew the real meaning of love. Seems like love to me was either said through empty words…a dysfunctional form of love…and even sexual abuse. It was only through time…and a close relationship with Christ; that I discovered the real and true meaning of love…and it's not a love brought about through words alone; but also through a heart of sacrifice. As I was getting around this morning; it was as if God was wanting me to relay a message to you…a message of His true and genuine love for you. You know…sometimes we have no problem, when it comes to experiencing this perfect love; but I have also come to see within my own life; that there can be times, when life can be so chaotic and full of hurt; that moments such as these can make us doubt the love that He has for us; so today I would like to begin by reading a well known Bible verse in John 3:16…a verse that can take us back to a love that we need so much in this life…and we read… "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." When I think on this verse…my thoughts seem to quickly connect me with a real, true and lasting love…and why…because God not only said that He loved the world; but at the same time, He was willing to demonstrate that love in a very sacrificial way, through His only Son's death on a cross. Can you imagine being willing to give up one of your own children in such a way, as a means of demonstrating your love to another person? What I see here; is not only loving words; but a sacrifice that said that He was also willing to give up everything for us. Now ask yourself this question…how could we ever think of doubting God's love for us…one that was displayed in such a giving and sacrificial way? One thing I have come to witness over my lifetime; is how easy it is to spew words out to another person…and even God, while not even realizing what we just said. Could it be that we tend to doubt God's love for us; because of the so-called love that is demonstrated to us here on earth? Another Bible verse that has truly stuck with me over the years is found in John 15:13, and we read… "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Can you imagine what Jesus went through on the cross? Even though there was much pain, rejection and agony; His love for us was greater than what He went through on that cross. I don't know about you; but I have never experienced such a love…and this is the real love that I have been looking for all of my life. As we have now reached the hump in our week; we can feel as if we are barely making it. Times such as these can make us feel alone…and even unloved; but I have come to truly know a love that will always be there…one that would have never sacrificed everything for us…just to give up on us now and walk away. As we close our time together, I would like to just give you a simple message…one that says that you are loved. No matter what you have done in your life…and no matter how life has treated you; Jesus…God's Son still stands there with you…and He's offering you a love that has been there since the cross…a love that will never walk away; but rather, a love that will draw even closer to you, during the hard and difficult times of life. Now it's up to you…will you receive His love? Have a very blessed day…and if you would like to accept Jesus into your life and experience the perfect love and care that He longs to give you today, may I encourage you to check out this page… "Come to Jesus."
