Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Monday to you all! I truly hope and pray that your week is off to a great start…and even more, I pray that God will touch our hearts today with words of hope…a hope that can help us to keep pressing on throughout these troubled times…Amen!!
Lately, I've been thinking on how the evil in this world can make itself seem as if nothing will ever change for the better. It seems that no matter what we hope for…everything seems to either remain the same or worsen with time, which can take our hearts and minds to a place of complete hopelessness. Today, as we begin our time together…God and I would like to share some Bible verses and words of encouragement that can help us all to keep our heads above these troubled waters…and the first Bible verse that I'd like to share with you is found in Psalm 34:21, and we read… "Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate." As we look at what is taking place around us; we see an evil that thinks that nothing or no one could ever take it down…just as Satan must have thought, during the time of Jesus' death on the cross. Even though Satan may have seen Jesus' death in this way…little did he know that Jesus would rise triumphantly over sin and death in the end. You know…it's so easy to view evil as something that can defeat us all…and I'm sure that those who are being controlled by evil, like a puppet on a string…don't even realize at this time where it's leading them. All they seem to see is what Satan saw at the cross; but sadly the deception that they are caught up in; is only going to do what Psalm 34:21 says, which is to defeat them in the end…and why do I say that; because it says in Isaiah 54:17 that… "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord." In other words…what Satan attempts to use against us in these last days will never succeed or grow into something that can defeat us in the end; but rather, it will fall back on the one who is committing the evil; for I John 4:4 says…"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." We must realize that when we turn our lives completely over to Jesus; then as He enters the heart…we also become victorious over anything that may enter our lives; because we have the overcomer living within us…the One who has proven Himself far greater than the evil that surrounds us. You know…sometimes I think that we just need to let our thoughts become more drawn into God's word…and the hope that can help us to rise above the evil that can seem so overpowering. One thing we cannot do as Christians; is to accept Jesus into our lives and live with a form of godliness, while denying that true power that lies within this powerful God; because that will only keep us weak and more in tune with what is happening around us. What we truly need today; is to deny the so-called power of evil and take hold of the powerful God that lives within us…the One who can walk us through these troublesome times. Remember one thing as we close…Satan has a way of painting a deceptive picture of defeat, due to what is happening around us; but God is the One whose truth reminds us that we aren't the defeated one…but rather, evil is the one who is leading itself to defeat. Have a very blessed day…and ALWAYS know that the One who lives within you, will always fight for you! God bless!
