Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Friday to you all! I hope that your day is going well…and I pray that no matter what you may be facing at this time; that you will truly come to see that you are never alone; for God's got you…and He's here, just for you…Amen!!
Let me ask you a question as we begin our time together today… "How are you coping with everything that is going on in your world?" You know…it's so easy to feel alone in this world; because we just don't seem to experience the closeness that we once felt with others, due to what has recently taken place in this world. As I look back on my life, I will never forget a moment when I truly felt alone. As I sat on my bed…starring off into space, I remember saying to myself that there could be 100 people in the room; but yet, I would still feel alone. Little did I realize at the time; that I was looking for an imperfect love to care for me, when all along, I had left a perfect love out of the picture…One who had already claimed me as His very own. As I was spending some quiet moments alone with God last night; He once more took me back to a few Bible verses that have truly helped me to remain closely connected with Him, during the hard and difficult times of my life, and they are found in Isaiah 43:1b-3a…and we read… "…Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2) When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3) For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour…" The verse in this bible reading that truly helped me the most, during times of loneliness…is in verse 1, where it says… "I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine." Just think…when we are alone and we feel as if no one cares…or even wants us around; God is already standing before us…claiming us as His very own. Then from there, we see in the remaining verses; that when we feel as if we are in over our heads, with troubles and problems…He will still be there to walk us through these times; and one thing that God has proven to me over and over again; is that it doesn't matter how the storms of circumstance rage around us…He will never allow these storms to take us beneath the troubled waters. You know…even though we may find ourselves caught between a rock and a hard place…with what seems to be no way of escape; these moments will never become a dead end road; because I know of a God who will make the way for us…and carve a new path for us to walk down; so you see…you are never alone…and God's got you for sure! As we close this time together, I want you to know that even though we may have to face the difficult moments in this life…the moments that can lead us to a lonely heart; there is one thing we can do…and that is to think back on the past moments, when God had been so faithful and there for us…the times when we survived what seemed to be the impossible. Once we are able to do this; that is when I believe that these thoughts alone will light up the heart and be a reminder to us; that we are not…and will never be alone in this life…no matter how lonely of a world this may appear to be…and why…because God's got us!
