How has your week been? Do you feel as if the rope you once held tightly to at the beginning of the week, has now become a thread that's about to break? If so…I have good news for you…and it's found in Lamentations 3:22-23, which says… "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
Can you imagine living a day that never has an end…in other words, can you imagine a problem that continually has control over your life…throughout every day of your life? I don't know about you; but I don't even want to think of a day like that…for to me, it could possibly end up like hell on earth. You know…sometimes we can feel as if our yesterday has just spilled over into today because of what we may be facing at the time; but just stop for a moment and think on this…every day that comes to an end gets placed in the back files of our lives…to make room for something new. Yes…our circumstances may have not come to a complete halt from our yesterday; but the new day we have now entered is being filled with new mercy…and a new compassion; that gives us that leverage we need to continue on, which truly stems from the overwhelming love God has for us.
You know…maybe our yesterday was so bad that our thoughts became drained of any new possibility of making it through another day…but the hope we can hold tightly to; is that each new day is now being filled with new possibilities, which opens us up to a new hope.
I have truly come to see throughout my own life; that we lose out on this hope and the faith that can keep us pressing on, when our eyes become fixed on how bad a day has been. One thing I have come to tell myself after a trying day is this… "It's ok, Diane…for tomorrow is another new day…a day where you can leave all of this behind…to experience something brand new." I truly feel that when we can see the end of the day as a cut off point…one that brings these troubling moments to a halt; that this is when hope will always remain alive within us…to give us strength to enter another new day.
No matter what you may be facing…and no matter how long it's been happening; may I encourage you today, to leave the trying moments of your yesterday behind…to look for the new possibilities that are standing before you in this brand new day. I truly believe that once we can see life in this way; that this is when life won't seem to be so overwhelming, which will help us to find the courage we need, to start another new day.
Have a very blessed day…and always know that God is reaching out to you…to give you hope and a brand new beginning!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
