Oh how we find it easy to give up, when life knocks us down. As evil attempts to put a weight of pressure upon our shoulders; it's as if we can no longer find the strength to keep standing…so we fall down…under the weight of a problem; but the bad thing about that…is that it's not always easy to get back up to our feet.
Throughout all the very difficult and overwhelming moments of my life; there were times, when I just wanted to sit down and quit. The path that I was walking down at the time was so filled with ruts in the road and steep mountains so tall; that I could barely find the strength to continue the climb; but then God began to work with my heart through a Bible verse in Hebrews 10:36, which reads…"For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise."
One thing that I have come to truly see through moments such as these; is that Satan not only afflicts us; but he also seems to enhance the affliction, as a means of convincing us that we just can't make it through these difficult times…and if he can do that; then he can also keep us from the blessing that God has awaiting us, by attempting to make us give up.
The one thing that God has taught me over the years; is to identify Satan and what he is up to…and bring it to light. When we are able to do this; then we are exposing him and his deceptive ways, which in the end makes him powerless in our lives.
Today, I would like to give you a piece of hope and encouragement to hold to…something that can help you to keep pressing on, during the hard and difficult times of your life…and that encouragement is to keep your eyes on the prize, rather than the problem. I have come to see that a prize comes at the end of every trial…something that can make us stronger and create new growth, along with other blessings that can enrich our lives; but we will never come to receive these blessings that God has awaiting us, if we sit in the middle of a broken path and give up. Yes…life isn't always easy…believe me I know; but at the same time, I have come to truly see that we can make it…that is, if we are willing to take our eyes away from the problem…to focus on what is on the other side of the problem.
No matter what you may be facing today, just know that there is a strength that can keep you standing; but that strength can only enter your life, when you choose to let go of a weak circumstance. Once you can do this; then you will be able to see the difficult times for what they really are, which will expose them and bring them to light…and from there, a new path will open up before you…a path that will lead you to God's very best!
Have a very blessed day!
