Has Failure Convinced You That God No Longer Loves You?

11/12/2021

Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Friday to you all! I sure hope that your day is going well…and that you will truly come to experience God's love in your day…a love that's everlasting…and a love that walks beyond failure, to truly care for the need of the heart…Amen!!
Last night, as I was unwinding from a very busy day, I decided to spend some time with God before going to bed…and as I was thinking quietly to myself; I was reminded as to how we can experience a day, when we try to do our best; but yet we don't always succeed. Times such as these can make us wonder if God still loves us, due to moments of failure.
As I thought more on this last night, I began to wonder if we feel unloved during times of failure; because we are unknowingly comparing God's perfect love, to the imperfect love that we experience from others around us? I don't know about you; but as I have experienced a lot of rejection in my life; this tends to tie into moments such as these, as I feel that failure can cause God to walk away from me, just as others have.
There are two Bible verses that God led me to last night; that I feel will truly help us to understand God's love even more, during times of failure…and the first one that I would like to begin with is found in Psalm 34:19, and we read… "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all." In this verse…the first thing that we are being reminded of; is that we can't escape all trouble…no matter who we are; because we live in an imperfect world. Even though these times of failure enter our lives; the hope we can live with; is where it says… "but the Lord delivereth him out of them all," which to me is a reminder of God's perfect love…a love that never gives up on us or walks away. Even though we aren't always strong enough to withstand the trials that come our way; that doesn't mean that God will walk away, just because others do. In fact…I have come to see how God withstands my failures, even more than I do.
As I continued my study with God last night…He began to take me to another beautiful Bible verse in Jeremiah 31:3, and we read… "The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee." In other words…His love isn't based on conditions; but rather, His love is unconditional, which means that His love is unlimited, whole hearted and complete…a love that isn't based on what we look like or what we do; but rather, a love that never stops loving us…no matter what may arise.
I don't know about you; but I can have an occasional day, when I just can't deal with all that is happening around me…and especially with my health. Moments such as these have a way of wearing on a person, until a breaking point comes; and from there…guilt seems to follow, while we wonder if God still loves us.
Lately, I have come to see that all I need sometimes; is to disconnect myself from a worldly way of thinking and connect myself directly with God through His word…so His word can tell me the real truth, of what He really feels about me, during times such as these. I feel that when we seek the truth in His word, rather than assuming that He is no longer there for us; that this is when we come to realize that we may have unknowingly compared His perfect love to an imperfect love…one that we had at one time experienced.
One thing God reminded me of last night, during those quiet moments; is that a perfect love cannot react in an imperfect way, which means that a perfect love, such as He has for us, isn't a love that focuses on our failures and mistakes; but rather, His love is a love that walks beyond our failures and mistakes…to see how they can be used in a better way, to help and strengthen us.
No matter what you may have done…and no matter how you feel; I know a God who still loves you…One who is more concerned about you than failure; and when you seek His word for the truth; that is when your mind will be set free…and a calm will come over you, as the truth of God's love begins to replace what Satan was attempting to make you believe.
Have a very special day…and a great weekend…and ALWAYS know that God has an everlasting love for you!
God bless…and I will see you on Monday…take care!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
