These past few days have truly been a struggle for me, as I live with chronic pain and chronic fatigue syndrome…and when moments like these become overwhelming…we can truly feel like giving up…and we may even speak words that aren't coming from our heart; but rather, from the problems that are hurting us deeply. In fact…moments such as these can sometimes make us feel as if we have been forgotten by God; but after these past few days…God is reminding me that He has never once left my side.
As I've been sitting here…starring out the window; God began to lead me to a Bible verse in I Peter 5:7, which reads… "Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you." Just think…we haven't been left alone, during the hard and difficult times of life; because God is in the heavens…watching everything that concerns us; and when we can know this and feel this in our hearts; then hope remains alive, which gives us a reason to continue on. One thing I have truly come to see, while serving God over these past 19 years; is that we are all human…and not one of us is better than the other…no matter what we do in life. We all have weaknesses in our lives that we struggle with and some seem to have more than others; but God is reminding me once more; that it doesn't matter how we may unknowingly react to a problem; because His love for us is so deep…that He sees beyond the moments of imperfection…to care about the need of the heart and where we are headed from there. Isn't it amazing how the sun can shine so brightly within our lives, as if nothing could ever take that from us; but then before we realize it, a storm begins to brew on the horizon…one that is meant to take that beauty and those bright and sunny days from us. From there, the storm rages on and the struggles become so real…to the place where we can feel as if we won't survive the storm. During these darkened moments in our lives, we can feel all alone and even forgotten by God; but if we could only look beyond those stormy clouds; then I'm sure that we would begin to see a glimpse of light…one that can remind us that God is going through the storm with us. You know…I remember a time in my life, when I took a journey back home…about 2500 miles from where I live, to deal with some painful moments of the past. It seemed that no matter where we were driving…a faint ray of light shown through the clouds, which to me became a reminder that God was on that trip with me. One thing I am being reminded of right now; is how we can easily find ourselves so caught up within the stormy moments of what is taking place at the time; that we can find ourselves losing touch with God, which can lead us to feelings of hopelessness; but just know that no matter what we face in life…God is closest to the one with a broken heart (Psalm 34:18)…and even though others may walk away…we can rest assured that God will remain…for we will NEVER be forgotten by God. Have a very blessed day…and ALWAYS know that God loves you…and will ALWAYS be there for you! It's Always & Only Because of Him… Diane Return Back to the Main Page Comments are closed.
