Hello everyone…well another new day begins, as the outlived moments of yesterday have now been placed in a file that becomes past moments of thoughts and feelings. You know…there are days that can bring good and happy moments to us; but then there are those days that can attempt to bring us low and make life more difficult.
This morning, as I slowly left my bed to get around for the day…the pain seemed to be more of a struggle to get through. Seems like lately, I have had moments of struggle just like you…moments that make me scratch my head and wonder where I'm headed in life; but one thing about moments such as these; is that we do have someone who can help…someone who will listen to every broken moment we're facing…and that someone is Jesus Christ. When I was a young girl, I was taught that everything was always alright, when nothing really was…and due to this way of life; I held so much within, until it built up within me and erupted. Through this experience, I came to see that we don't have to take hold of something and allow it to weigh us down; but rather, we can have a good talk with the One who will not only listen; but will also help us through the times that can seem so out of control. You know…some things we just may never understand in this life; but even though we may not understand what is taking place at the time; there is One who already understands and through that understanding, He can steer us in the direction that will walk us away from those discouraging moments of despair. As I've been sitting here this morning…God took me back to a favorite verse in Psalm 34:19, which reads… "The good man does not escape all troubles—he has them too. But the Lord helps him in each and every one." No matter who we are…and no matter what we do in life, we all have moments of discouragement…moments that can make us see life in a way that can make it difficult at times to press on. Even though we experience times like these, we can be assured that the Lord will help us through each and every problem that attempts to take us down. A few bible verses that have helped me to give my needs over to God, rather than hold tightly to them, are found in Matthew 11:28-30, and we read… “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29) Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30) For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” No matter how alone you may feel right now…and no matter who has walked away, in what seems to be a very uncaring way; Jesus is giving you an invitation to come and find rest in Him. In fact…He's not only longing to listen to what is hurting your heart right now; but He's willing to take that burden upon Himself and make your load lighter…and all you have to do is let go and hand it all over to Him. Sometimes I wonder why we hold so tightly to the pain we bear. Seems like we would want to let go of everything and find relief. Maybe we hold tightly to our problems because we always feel the need to have control and remain strong on our own…or maybe it's because we don't want to be a bother to anyone, including Jesus; but as I have learned…the burden just becomes heavier as time goes by…to the place where we can easily find ourselves giving up completely. No matter what may be taking place in your life right now, just know that you don't have to be strong on your own; for there is One who is longing to help you and give you relief from the moments that are weighing you down…and once you can truly see this; that is when you will experience a hope that can help you to let go and trust the Lord completely. Have a very blessed day and very happy 4th of July…and I will see you on Monday! It's Always & Only Because of Him… Diane GET YOUR FREE E-BOOK COPY OF "TIME ALONE WITH GOD" HERE!
