Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Monday to you all! I truly hope and pray that your week is off to a great start…and even more…I pray that you will ALWAYS remember that God is ALWAYS there for you…no matter what you may face in your week…Amen!!
Over the weekend, I didn't have anything to do, so I decided to pull the daybed out from the wall in my office and clean some well needed things near the window. I have to say that as I began, I was surprised as to how everything was going so well, which I totally gave God credit for.
Anyways…as time went by, I realized that this project became more than what I first thought. In fact…once I finished…even with the assistance of my husband, I was feeling pretty bad when it came to the legs. In fact…I was experiencing a pain in my legs that I hadn't felt with any other project that I had recently done around the house; so rather than sitting up throughout the evening, I decided to have a talk with God and go to bed…and then take it a little easier throughout the remainder of the weekend.
As I sat here this morning…in the presence of God, I began to cry out to Him…because I was feeling so exhausted and drained from so much pain. After pouring my heart out to Him…He began to minister to me and remind me that when we look at our circumstances through a worldly eye; this is what can attempt to lead us to a place of hopelessness. In other words…when we allow the problem to overwhelm us; then we find ourselves focusing more on the results of that problem, rather than seeking the One who can give us a completely different view of the problem…One that can exchange hopelessness for hope.
This morning, as I began to take my eyes away from all the pain and weakness; I began to search God's word for some help and encouragement…and the Bible verse He led me to was Psalm 9:10, and we read… "And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee." In other words…viewing the problem through a worldly eye only connects us to everything that has and still remains wrong; but when we seek God in the midst of despair; that is when we discover how easily we can relax and allow ourselves to rest in His loving hands, while He begins to go to work on our behalf.
You know…we all experience moments that are overwhelming and out of control…and believe me when I say; that these moments have a way of filling our thoughts and minds with so much…to the place where God unintentionally gets pushed out…and why…because it's the weakness that we have allowed to overtake us, which only makes us prey to evil.
The thing that I'm learning more and more; is that we need to be connected daily with God; because we just don't know when moments such as these will happen. Instead of allowing the problem to enlarge itself…to the place where God becomes distant to us…and fades from our view; we need to allow Him to become greater than the problem; so His presence will be the One that can push the problem out and keep us from overwhelming moments such as these.
Just as Satan is on the alert…to the weaknesses we struggle with; we also must be on alert to what Satan has planned to achieve through those moments of weakness and allow the presence of God to warm the heart and shelter us from the unexpected moments that attempt to take us down. When we can seek God…and truly know how merciful He is; then this will cause us to turn to Him and depend on Him for help, rather than succumbing to the problem…for one thing I have come to see; is that God will never forsake those who turn away from a problem…to trust Him completely.
Have a very special day…and ALWAYS know that God is ALWAYS there for you! God bless!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
