How to Exchange a Circumstance for God's Richest Blessings

6/1/2021

One thing that I have come to truly see and experience in my life; is how to be blessed during the hard and difficult times of life. No…I'm not speaking like some who preach to get rich; but rather, I am sharing the truth of how God can truly work in our lives and bless us, especially while facing a trying circumstance.
You know…so many times we seem to pray and hand over a to-do list to God. In fact…we seem to pray specifically for what we would want God to do, rather than letting go and giving our needs completely to Him; and while we are doing this, we are completely bypassing the real truth of how God blesses us. It's not only by leaving everything in His hands; but it's also making sure that our lives are right with Him. Look at it this way…if we are truly connected to God and no other, while facing these hard times; then we will reap from His resources…in a way that can truly tie us into His will for our lives; but on the other hand, if we have unforgiven sin in our lives; then that sin becomes a roadblock…that only keeps us tied into our problems, rather than the help that God longs to give us.
This morning, as I was looking through God's word, He led me to a Bible verse in Proverbs 8:32, which reads… "Now then, my children, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways."
Let's ask ourselves a question today…how can we expect God to be there for us and bless us, when we are tied into sin and the ways of evil? I have come to see that if we want to be blessed through the difficult times; then first, we must be plugged into the One who can relay His blessings…through the connection that we have with Him.
I don't know about you; but in the past, I used to just pray and ask God for specific things…but do you know what…I never experienced what I prayed for…and why; because first of all, I wasn't letting God's will be done…and second, I wasn't closely connected with Him at the time. We must remember that if we are going to receive God's richest blessings; then first, we must form a deep connection with God…one that has no flaws that can easily break our connection with Him…and one that allows His blessings to flow from His resources…to the need of our hearts.
No matter what you may be facing today…take a look within your heart and see how your connection is with God. Do you see flaws that could be breaking up the connection between you and God? If so…this can be easily fixed, by sifting through the rubble and getting rid of the sin that might be keeping the connection broken between you and God. Once you do this; then the connection will be mended…and as you allow each need to flow from your heart to His; then in His time…you will begin to see how God can exchange your circumstance for His richest blessings.
Have a very blessed day…and remember to let go of everything except for God!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
