Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Tuesday to you all! Well…it's another rainy autumn day outside my window; but praise God for the light of His presence…a light that can shine down upon us and surround us with Himself, during the darkened and troubled moments of life…Amen!!
Yesterday, as we began the week together, I talked on how we can find refuge in God during the difficult times; so today, I would like to take it a step further and ask you if you truly believe that the God you took refuge in, will always be there to save you from whatever may arise? Last night, as I was spending some quiet time alone with God before bed, I was thinking on how life here on earth has become so different than what it used to be. We are experiencing things that we would have never expected to have happened several years back; and moments such as these can make us fear what is before us…and even the things that could still possibly go wrong. As I think on this even more…I think the reason why we fear these times; is because we tend to step out of that place of refuge that once connected us deeply with God; to connect with a world that seems to be spinning out of control. The other day, as I was looking through some Bible verses that I had marked in my Bible; God led me to a few of them, which I would like to share with you today…and they are found in Psalm 27:3-5, and we read… "Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. 4) One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. 5) For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock." The only way we are going to feel safe and secure in this world, while everything is taking place around us; is to remain in that safe haven or place of refuge with God…where we can commune with Him daily, rather than getting caught up in what may be happening in the world around us. Think of it this way…whatever we choose to connect ourselves to in this life, will either draw us further into that safe haven of peace…or into a place of anxiety, frustration and unrest. Today, we must realize that choosing God above the things of this evil world; is what will help us to feel safe and secure, when trouble does come. No matter who we are…or no matter what we may be going through at this time; we can find it very easy to feel as if the unknown moments in this world may swallow us up in defeat; but one thing I can tell you today; is that when we choose to disconnect ourselves from all that is taking place in this world…to truly connect with a God who will always be more powerful than these moments we fear; then we will experience a calm and peace that can keep our hearts at ease; knowing that God is right there beside us…ready to help in time of trouble…Amen! Have a very blessed day… and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow! God bless!
