If you were to know me personally, you would come to also know a person who has learned how to go beyond pain and heartache to pursue God. Many…many times, I have walked beyond these difficult moments in my life, to write…run a ministry and take care of my home.
It was after a very difficult week; that I began to see life in a much different way…one that made it even harder to see myself doing the things that I had done for years. After feeling so low, I asked Keith if he would meet me in the living room for a talk. As I sat there…I poured my heavy spirit out before him and God…and as I began to speak, I told him that I was discouraged and didn't know if I would be able to continue the work around the house and everything I loved to do…due to so much pain and tiredness.
As we finished our talk together, I asked him to pray for me…and I left it with God. I would say that it was yesterday evening, when something began to spring up within me; you know…a feeling that can make a person seem as if they have been lifted up from the rubble of brokenness. By last night…God began to speak to my spirit and show me a way to handle the things that needed to be done this week…and as I sit here right now, I can say that He has already begun a good work within me…with new thoughts…new ideas and a greater strength.
A Bible verse that God has used numerous times in my life is found in Isaiah 43:19, which reads… "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." This is exactly what He has been doing for me lately…and even at this time; He is speaking through this verse and saying… "Diane, do you not see it…I am making a way for you in this wilderness that you have struggled to walk through."
One thing God is reminding me of today; is that when we feel as if we are holding onto the end of a rope that seems to be running out of hope; that doesn't mean that we are about to fall; for when we choose to cry out to God and lay the broken moments before Him; that is when He will extend the rope and fill it with a hope that will keep us lifted up on high with Him.
No matter what you are facing right now, may I encourage you to turn your thoughts away from what is attempting to make you give up…and seek God instead? One thing I know…is that when we choose to do this; then a way will stand before us…one that God has carved out, just for us to walk down…and from there…we will begin to see that life can be much better than what we first thought, as something new begins to spring up before us.
Have a very special day…and ALWAYS know that God is already there…waiting for you to reach back to Him, so He can give you His very best! God bless!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
