How to Keep this Evil World from Stealing your Joy

8/31/2021

Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Tuesday to you all! As we begin our time together today, I would like to first encourage you to remain focused on God throughout your day. Yes…we are living through some very hard and difficult times right now; but when our focus is taken away from these moments, to gaze upon the One who is much greater in power and strength; that is when we will find peace, even in the midst of all of this chaos…Amen!
This morning, as I was preparing to start my day, I was thinking on how easily we can become caught up in what is taking place in this world right now…to the place where our joy is taken from us. We must remember that when we are connected in thought to the enemy; that this is when we can be greatly affected by the enemy, as it attempts to remove the good that once reigned deep within our hearts.
As I was searching God's word this morning, for a Bible verse that would help and encourage us; God led me to one in John 10:10, which says… "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
Did you know that there is a way to remain alive and filled with joy, even in the midst of all that is taking place right now? Yes…and that is when we focus on where all these hard and difficult times are leading us to as Christians, which is an eternity with Jesus Christ. So many times, we can find ourselves caught up in the evil that is being displayed around us; that before we realize it, we find ourselves drifting away from the hope that we once clung to…to enter a place where we seem to be constantly reminded, as to where this evil just may lead us to from here. We must remember that when we allow our thoughts to be sunk deep in the muck and mire of evil…and all that is happening in this world; then Satan is going to take advantage of that and use it against us.
In Psalm 1:1-2, we read… "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2) But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night."
Let's face it people…the only way that we are going to survive all that is taking place at this time; is to meditate daily on the Lord. When we choose to walk in the ways of the ungodly or stand amongst those who only choose to promote evil…or even sit and allow the know-it-alls to greatly affect our minds and hearts; then these will be the times that will make us even more vulnerable to Satan's ways, which will only allow him to steal and take away the joy that God once placed within us.
No matter what you're facing today…and no matter how difficult the struggle may be, may I encourage you to take your thoughts and hearts to a different realm…one where you can be relieved of the struggle, to find peace with God. One thing I know…when we choose to do this; that is when we will no longer find life so challenging; for we will have a settled back feeling that our God remains in control of all things, including the evil in this world…Amen!
Have a very blessed day…and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow!
God bless!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
