Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Wednesday to you all! I hope that your day is going as well as mine is…and I pray that as we spend this time together today; that we will come to truly see that there is nothing to fear in this life, when we have a big God leading the way…AMEN!!
The other evening as I was preparing to go to bed, I found myself struggling with some thoughts that had been on my mind that day, which attempted to flood my heart with fear. After asking God for His help…I laid my head on the pillow and fell asleep. I would say that about halfway through my night, a Bible verse in Psalm 112:7-8 began to repeatedly enter my sleep…and the verse reads… "He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. 8) His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies." As I began to think on this more and more last night…I also began to wonder, as to how many of us are living right now in fear of the unknown. As our world continues to worsen with time and head in the direction, of an evil that seems to be winning at everything it sets itself out to do; we can easily find ourselves experiencing thoughts that seem to continually remind us that good just may never be able to overtake this kind of evil, which can attempt to lead our hearts to an overwhelming fear. Could it be that we are experiencing a fear of what may be down the road for us; because we don't have a settled and secure feeling within our hearts that God will be able to rise up and care for us and deliver us from this overwhelming evil? After all…what we are seeing before us right now doesn't look good…and just maybe…we have allowed ourselves to be convinced that nothing is powerful enough to overtake moments such as these, due to what we view each day. Last night, as I finished my time alone with God, He began to remind me that fear stems from what is happening around us…and how we absorb it within our hearts, minds and spirits; but then He also reminded me that there is a faith that can replace this kind of fear and become hope to us…knowing that even though we can't see it at the time; there is something out there…something getting ready to happen…something to anticipate. The one thing that I have come to see, since my time alone with God last night; is that when we can look beyond the evil in this world and anticipate what may be around the corner; that is when I believe that fear will be replaced with a settled feeling…one that will remind us that God will ALWAYS be there to take care of us…no matter how bad life may appear to be. Have a very blessed day…and ALWAYS remember that nothing or no one will ever be greater than this great big God…Amen! God bless!
