Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Tuesday to you all! What a beautiful day outside my window! God is so good, isn't He? As we begin our time together, I pray that we will come to see and experience the power of Almighty God…a power that is greater than anything we may face in this life…Amen!!
Let me first start out today by asking you a question… "Have you ever felt so overwhelmed by what you were going through…or even by what has taken place in this world around you; that you could barely control your reaction to what was taking place at the time?" I'll tell you…life can come at us so hard; that the struggle of holding onto one positive thought can almost seem impossible to do.
The other day, I was feeling so tired…and with the chronic issues I face from day to day; the challenge to hold myself together during other difficult times can seem to be quite the struggle. Anyways…after a minor mishap in the kitchen the other day, I began to feel as if I was in a battle…fighting to remain positive and stand strong; but I found that as I began to call out to God for help…the heaviness of those moments began to lighten up, as I went about my business. Within a short time after doing this; it seemed as if the memory of what had just taken place, began to fade into the background of the day; and from there…peace began to take the place of what I had just experienced, which allowed me to have a much better day.
Throughout those trying moments I faced…I was reminded, as to how we are being given the choice of two paths to walk down, while experiencing these overwhelming moments in our lives. The first path can lead us away from the problem and bring us to a place of sweet peace…just by pushing beyond the problem to seek something positive; or the other path can take us further into despair…just by responding to a problem in a negative way. The choice is up to us.
Last night, as I was looking for a Bible verse that would help us to relate even more to these God inspired words…God led me to a Bible verse in Philippians 4:9, which says… "Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you."
You know…I think that we can do well, when it comes to reading God's word…and even catching onto what He wants us to learn through His word; but what about the times when we are faced with putting what we have learned into practice…can we do that?
One thing I'm learning more and more within my own life; is that when I take what God has taught me…and fight the temptation to react in a negative way to a problem; then this kind of reaction has not only made me stronger; but this kind of a reaction has also led me away from the problem…and instead, has drawn me closer to a place of peace, even in the midst of this unresolved problem.
I believe that when we can actually put into practice, what we have been taught through God and His word; then these powerful actions that connect us to God…do seem to deaden the plot and plan that Satan once devised to overwhelm us…and even lead us down a road of deeper despair; for you see…remaining in the problem…and even feeding into the problem through negativity, only keeps us locked up within the problem…just as Satan desires it to be.
You know…life can be overwhelming for sure…and especially in this world we're living in; but there is a way to experience peace in the midst of it all…but that only comes about, when we take what God has taught us and push beyond these moments that can seem so controlling and overbearing. One thing I can tell you today; is that once we do this; we will come to quickly see that peace can be found…a peace that can keep us distant from the problem, while leading us into moments brand new.
Have a very blessed day…and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
